Apparently Deathlist alumnus Profumo shagged a Nazi spy.

 

 

So what I get from this is that the Nazis wanted to blackmail young likely MP John, so they send a 1930s glamour model (and spy) to seduce him. He sleeps with her for nigh on 4 years. Then, he votes the opposite way to what the Nazis would have wanted in parliament in the first place, making it all a waste of time. Then he got a long career of sleeping with society girls before the whole Keeler thing.

Jose Zarate, the man charged with the murder of Kate Steinle has been deported multiple times and according to defense "accidentally shot" Ms. Steinle.

I think this verdict is ridiculous, it's not a surprise coming from California though.

I don't believe in the death penalty but I certainly wouldn't have been mad if he got it.

We should expect Trump to ramp up his racist rhetoric on twitter any moment now, he's been retweeting videos of muslim migrants beating up disabled dutch boys as well so we know he's in a particular mood.

Well, I think the moon landing was peak USA (perhaps peak mankind). Then it went downwards but the collapse of communism was another victory. And then there was the Internet and all that. Also, China wasn't ready yet. So I think the era ended not too long ago.

 

The American century began in 1918 and ended in 2017. The moon landing (and Nixon) is almost right in the middle. Almost by design.

NI will become the EU's back door to the UK. The DUP really are insane - yes we must leave, we must have the same as the UK (forget abortion, etc) but no border. We shall see goods and people coming in via Eire. Unless Tezza institutes border checks on the mainland.

Interesting the discrepancy there between pre-decimal currency and selling in pounds and ounces. Neither of which I remember, and I'm getting on a bit. Brexit is obviously a bright future full of opportunities - to return to the past? Bloody fools.

I'm assuming a fair number, like 53% in fact, are less than fully educated. The provisions regarding the death penalty are part of the European Convention on Human Rights, not the EU.

 

So we'd have to leave that Convention separately - something I think the current bunch are in favour of, but it has nothing to do with Brexit.
