Looking for date of death for screenwriter and part time actor John Hale (Imdb). Imdb wrote that he was married to Valerie June Bryan until his death but it's possible that it's an error.

Now reverted but this morning someone edited the Wiki page of Panamanian cyclist Oscar Willis Layne to say he died in February 2016 (aged 97).

He was born in June 1918 so almost certainly dead, but never been able to find death information for him via any source online. If anyone else can cast their eye over Mr. Google, FB etc. and see if they can find something, it would be a great help. You get more results when you look up "Oscar Layne" (which seems to be the name he went by most of the time).

Facebook death mention from 29 Feb 2016 saying he died on the 24th.

Eileen Mayers (IMDb) original Corrie cast member has very little information on her, including date of birth or if she is still alive (I assume so). 

 

Only ever mentioned in the Betty Driver Memorial Thread back 7 years ago and no definitive answers were given, so I thought I'd ask for a fresh set of eyes. Any help finding anything concrete (or recent) would be a great.

Also if anyone can find anything on Heather Moore (IMDb) that would also be appreciated.

Ginou Richer (b. 1927), Edith Piaf secretary and friend Who wrote a book about their relation is supposedly still alive at 96. She was interviewed a lot back in 2015 when the movie La Môme came out and she looked good but can’t find anything else since. I think her death would have been reported on Piaf’s fanpages… if anyone cares to investigate

Last acting credit was in 1964. He doesn't appear in the GRO Index so he didn't die in the UK up until 2021. He doesn't appear in 192 People either so isn't resident in the UK.

A search on Ancestry pulls up his fate – emigrated to Italy. "Philip John Guard" is listed in the 2003, 2005, 2010 and 2011 Italian Phone Book Indexes. He was based in Casola, Lunigiana.

The Italian Phone Book Indexes from 2012 onwards are not available on Ancestry, so he could still be living there, though statistically more likely he's dead ofc.

Edit: His ex wife's Guardian obit from May 2012 mentions that he survived her.

 

Philip Guard is alive and living near Casola Lunigiana as I got in contact with his carer. His (second?) wife died last month.

 

He is very private and no one there knows he was an actor.

Terrence Hardiman died earlier this year and Wikipedia has his death date as May 8th 2023 using his Telegraph obituary as a source, however his Guardian obituary has his death date as April 18th 2023. The death announcement from his agency doesn't give a date however does have the Guardian obit linked at the bottom.

 

Anyone have any ideas as to which date is more likely to be correct and if his Wikipedia page (and probably other sites) needs correcting.

Geoffrey Davies (wiki), British character actor supposedly died in July 2023, aged 80.

The only lead cast member of "Doctor in the House" to appear in all of its sequels ("Doctor at Large", "Doctor in Charge", "Doctor at Sea", "Doctor on the Go", "Doctor Down Under", "Doctor at the Top").

The type of name that may turn up in the next Equity magazine. Still, if anyone can find anything on social media or Google please let me know.
