We don't care what you people across the pond think.

Do people actually read what they type anymore? Saying this and then immediately sharing a regurgitated opinion on our political situation as if we'd care what you have to say is definitely an interesting choice - you've invalidated your own point before even saying it...

I think Trump isn't as dangerous internationally as people think.I think his strategy is to scare the shit out of everyone is just that .I mean he did less than most presidents in international conflict terms in his first term.

I think his unpredictability is a strategy to get other countries to behave. If a country can predict the us presidents actions they are much more likely to  push boundaries than if you believe someone is unbalanced enough to retaliate disproportionately.

Trump didn't nuke anyone or start a war in his first term so I see no more reason to worry about him than anyone else entering the white house.

I think you think too much about Trump…in every sense.

Trump is the one who has to handle end result of the LA fires, so that's going to be interesting.

Well it won’t be blamed on climate change by them.. And Trump, Musk and Co will work very hard to get a Republican Governor in California at the end of next year.

Not doubting that but I do wonder how well they'll cope with anything approaching a long game.

Trump and Musk are both transactional dealers (i.e., they only get into relationships on the basis the other party can do something for them) it might be useful to imagine their relationship as akin to that between a man and a dog, only each one thinks the other one is the dog. That's fine when you're posturing for election, not something that tends to hold well once you actually have to deliver on things.

The Fire and the Fury - an unsparing inside look at the first 100 days of the first Trump White House - charts the way those kind of relationships unravelled eight years ago as the likes of Steve Bannon saw their powers sidelined whilst Trump struggled to make sense of complicated problems or even grasp the key details of big issues.
