Dame Clare Marx, former President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and former GMC Chair has pancreatic cancer, resigned from the latter in July due to it. I don't know if this has already been mentioned before on this site, but I couldn't any mentions of her name.

So, basically, he was a disaster magnet, a Jonah, a walking human catastrophe, or summat.

London hospitals can now breathe a sigh of relief.

global health champion and co-founder of Partners In HealthDr. Paul Farmer, has died suddenly according to the official PIH twitter.

aside: i'm saddened by this news as the annual P.I.H. fundraiser, hosted by author john green and others, is something i look forward to every year; and it's coming up this weekend.

Dr. Bernard Langer, a Canadian surgeon & educator, member of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame and the first Jewish surgeon hired by Toronto General Hospital, who rose to become its Chair of the Department of Surgery, has died. He was 89. (Yes, there is an obvious joke about whether the doctor ever played golf, given his name.)

“Doc Langer, how much do you charge for a circumcision?"
"Not much, I just keep the tips."

*95

Quite an incredible guy. Really struggled with polio when he was younger, served in WWII, and was basically responsible for the first drug trials for childhood leukaemia (with a 50%+ cure rate).

Type of person who may score a QO if one of the obit writers gets a quiet day and is looking for someone who had a particularly interesting life.

For Lillibet to not exist the state of California would have to be in with it considering her birth certificate is publicly available

It would. To fake a birth certificate state officials would have to be involved.

Well, I'm not going to get into the various rumours on this thread.  Use your imagination.

I posted this here because one possible reason for the abrupt closure of Melissa Drake's clinic could be that she is ill.
