Bibliogryphon 9,593 Posted January 28, 2017 So, Sir John Hurt timed it perfectly to get the full regal treatment on LW next week Seriously diminishing the likelihood of MTM making an appearance.
rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted January 31, 2017 Wetton won't make it on before Parfitt, surely?
Joey Russ 7,233 Posted January 31, 2017 Unfortunately, I think both Parfitt and Adams time has passed...
rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted January 31, 2017 Nah, they've been known to drag them in from weeks past.
Joey Russ 7,233 Posted January 31, 2017 Nah, they've been known to drag them in from weeks past. Yeah, but it already has been over a month. I think their chances are pretty much diminished.
drol 12,003 Posted February 1, 2017 I think John Wetton will be on this week. And maybe Sir Harold Atcherley.
rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted February 3, 2017 It's Hurt, Margaret Pereira from last year, Christopher Bland,Emma Tennant and MTM. Who'd have thought that. No one - which is why this thread is so enigmatic. Enjoy the show.

No one - which is why this thread is so enigmatic. Enjoy the show.No Carrington or Morrison. Surprised. Carrington is a bit of surprise, but maybe they don't want to seem too luvvy by putting him in too soon. Morrison probably fell foul of the 5 items or fewer rule.
drol 12,003 Posted February 3, 2017 Carrington will be in sooner or later. Maybe they will wait for Brian Matthew's death to make a special about them (just joking).
rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted February 8, 2017 Will TPT be It this week? Carrington, Wetton, Parfitt, Adams still in the wings. Who gets on,who knows, unless you are the producer of the show.
Handrejka 1,904 Posted February 8, 2017 Alec McCowen is another possibility.
Joey Russ 7,233 Posted February 8, 2017 I sense Richard Hatch will get on this week.
charon 4,943 Posted February 8, 2017 Clue.....Hans Rosling is getting the whole of the next More or Less devoted to him..... Contender IMO....
YoungWillz 21,078 Posted February 8, 2017 If Alan Simpson isn't on, it's not worth listening to....
Joey Russ 7,233 Posted February 8, 2017 Maybe Joost will get on. It's not that often that legendary rugby players die, especially a young one.
maryportfuncity 10,662 Posted February 8, 2017 Let's put it this way; it'll be a travesty of Tara P.T. makes the cut given the tonnage of alternative talent available
Bibliogryphon 9,593 Posted February 9, 2017 Clue.....Hans Rosling is getting the whole of the next More or Less devoted to him..... Contender IMO.... That might count against him like Carrington not getting on because of R2 coverage. Don't think Hatch is very R4.

The Beeb like doing crossovers especially on the podcasts, I can see Rosling making it.
drol 12,003 Posted February 9, 2017 Steve Sumner has still a possibility. He was a football legend in New Zealand.
drol 12,003 Posted February 9, 2017 And Tzvetan Todorov? Zygmunt Bauman?
msc 18,489 Posted February 9, 2017 My guess for this week Desmond Carrington, Hans Rosling, Alan Simpson, Joost van der Westhuizen, Gordon Aikman. With Sir Peter Mansfield as an archive one in the future. Richard Adams ought to get on the show but time is running out...
Joey Russ 7,233 Posted February 9, 2017 I suspect that Parfitt and Adams died at the wrong time. Don't think they'll get on tbh.
rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted February 9, 2017 And Tzvetan Todorov? Zygmunt Bauman? That's a hell of a hand at scrabble.
msc 18,489 Posted February 9, 2017 I suspect that Parfitt and Adams died at the wrong time. Don't think they'll get on tbh. I agree on Parfitt, but Adams did shitloads for BBC Radio, that an archive piece can be played any quiet week. There was a five month delay once, but I can't mind who off the top of my head.
