maryportfuncity 10,658 Posted July 6, 2017 Best post-Beatle for me John - Instant Karma Paul - Letting Go George - My Sweet Lord Ringo - It Don't Come Easy Anyone that bothered should investigate a blog site called Albums that Never Were that hosts downloads of records that major artists might have made. They have Beatle albums (i.e. compilations of solo tracks) up to 1974.

Great single...

Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted July 6, 2017 Hmmmm. Entwistle and Moon were a bassist and a drummer respectively. Whenever the Who perform now, they need fill-ins. Paul and Ringo just happen to be a bassist and a drummer... Why hasn't anyone thought of this as a cash in?

Paul's all over the stage when he performs and would most likely get garroted by Roger's microphone cord - I firmly believe that one of the reasons John E stood still while he played was to avoid getting smacked by a microphone. I also don't see Ringo kicking his kit off the riser and joining Pete in an orgy of destruction. So, no. Not in my reality.

Young Ringo was so ill he spent a fair proportion of his school-age years in hospital after which he spent the years from 1973 to around 1980 partying (incl. much cocaine and alcohol); all of which mileage attacked a skinny and not very tall human body. He's cleaned up mightily since but the smoking was long term and the original health problems included lung disease. There's trouble lurking to ambush him at some point. And Unfortunately many male, ex-heavy smokers devlop blader cancer, even after stopping for a few decades. Very scary indeed especially since he has tried to clean himself up.. Deathrace 1,171 Posted June 4, 2020 Roger Daltrey was on Good Morning Britain this morning and looks and sounds fantastic for a 76 year old. He could easily pass for 60. Looks much better than either Paul or Ringo.
