A lot of the comments on this thread have worn exceedingly well and are quite prophetic.

Yeah, death comes to David Amess in Southend and a little 12 year old girl in Liverpool in equal measure.

And up and up the numbers grow,

Is there anywhere left safe to go?

To quote aliens, "I say we take off, nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure..." Or us that a tad bit extreme?

Given the number of stabbity stabbings across the lands but particularly Lahndahn, surprised this thread isn't bumped every three days.

Anyway, stabbity stab stab at Central Middlesex Hospital, perp and one victim in life threatening condition and one other victim. https://news.sky.com/story/man-arrested-as-armed-police-respond-to-incident-at-central-middlesex-hospital-in-north-west-london-12907034

Knowing what patients are like sometimes when annoyed in a hospital. Someone probably had their appointment cancelled and not got told (just today I had three patients travel long distances just to be told "sorry appointment got cancelled").

Police say not to share footage or speculate on Social Media.

So of course, Paul Golding of Britain First has already done so.

That's quite the sword.

A 13 year old boy has sadly died. Unclear if the killer and victim knew each other.

Police saying it doesn't appear to be an act of terrorism. So this will go one of two ways with the likes of Golding and his ilk. They'll either quietly forget about it or accuse everyone else of covering it up

Yes. So.

Two blokes' remains found in suitcases and hunt is on for a perp. Focus is on Shepherd's Bush.

Three women killed by crossbow. Alleged offender picked up near his home in Enfield.

I'm sure there's other stuff going on, but it s always London gets the coverage.

Anyway - did anyone like me think crossbow ownership was regulated? Apparently not - frightening amount out there seemingly.

I don't get the point of travelling all the way to Bristols extraordinarily high Clifton suspension bridge - to leave the bodies in the suitcases - On the bridge?

Presumably it has anti-suicide fencing or the like making it pretty hard to lump a heavy suitcase off it and the perpetrator was too dim to think to look that up before travelling?

Read somewhere he went in taxi? Do what? "help me with these mate..no don't worry its just a bit of tomato sauce"

Strange anyway. Guess we'll find out in due course. Or not.

Not always London, just things that are newsworthy, there was lot of coverage of the two students and a van driver killed in Nottingham. London has a 10 million population - twice that of Scotland as an example.

Or perhaps its the strain of living there....I got out :P

Crossbows - Yeah, there probably will be now one might imagine....

Compared with guns and knives, crossbows are not a very convenient weapon.  Unwieldy, too big to hide in a pocket, can't be used repeatedly as they have to be reloaded after each shot.

Yep, extremely high fencing on both sides. If you're just thinking "it would be a great idea to dump it into the gorge" it's the obvious place to think of, but also by far the stupidest.
