Not commenting on her health but was reading a Private Eye Colemanballs collection today when I chanced on a stunning one-liner by Page 3 star Tracey Elvik. Elvik was a staunch defender of her art, once commenting that without Page 3 she'd have remained "an insecure doormat in Warrington." That said, according to Colemanballs she also once said "The difference between Page 3 and men's magazines is a big yawning chasm"

We know what she meant, right?

@maryportfuncity, when was the last time you came on this forum and posted something that's not off topic? As in, what year, if ever?

Likely yesterday when I stuck in an argument making it clear that the blather on Huw Edwards makes it blindingly obvious he's on suicide watch.

Admittedly I'm having a decent day and playing it more for the banter hereabouts over the last 24 hours, how's your Friday going?

In Mary's defence, the topic is subtitled "Useless daft bimbos".

I suppose the quenstion of whether it was off-topic hangs on whether you think Tracey was aware of the double entendre when she uttered it. :D

Spain's first "It-Girl" Marta Chavarri dies at 62:

Her niece is being called "the Kim Kardashian of Spain" and they were just celebrating a HUGE wedding. The society is in shock.

Finding this thread would have been a lot easier if we were not currently doing a kill or save of the 00's with her songs, lol.

Anyway, Britney Spears is getting a divorce with Sam Asghari:

She's kind of teasing us specifically.

Second random thought, she reminds me of my crazy stepmother.

Britney caught another driving fine: this time for crossing over double lines earlier in October. https://www.msn.com/en-in/entertainment/news/britney-spears-fined-after-another-brush-with-police/ar-AA1iJSuc
Last month, mid-September, she was fined for driving without a license and proof of insurance.

During the conservatorship, she received multiple speeding tickets, and has a record for hit-and-runs. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2022-04-19/britney-spears-speeding-ticket-ventura-county-traffic-violation

Britney's apparently done with making pop music - which probs lowers her chances of imminent death. That said, do we actually believe this'll happen or will there be an Elton John style succession of comebacks?

I think her manager, Cade Hudson, is submitting rumors about collaborations in order to generate press and then refuting them. (In this case, Charli XcX. It was telling if you read the original rumor saying they had never met, etc. -- prior to that it in the past couple months it was Reese Witherspoon and Margot Robbie who seemed genuinely confused to have their names mentioned). So actually, I don't think she is in the clear of imminent death as Cade is playing her as a media puppet because the dude needs cash.

The last two singles she had in the past 1.5 years, she doesn't even seem to be aware of, saying she retired several years before that.

One was with Elton John and he made mention that he'd never do a project again where he was not in studio with the artist, only conversing via emails.

The other one was that single "Mind Your Business" she dropped with Will.I.Am that sounds like an outtake from her Britney Jean album (2013). And notably, "backup singer" Myah Marie gave an interview years ago talking about singing the primary vocals; that song was not known at the time and she says the title, so I think it's accurate. I think they tuned Myah's voice with AI and it's not Britney.

This is Cade Hudson: https://www.latimes.com/business/hollywood/la-fi-ct-caa-agent-20171209-story.html CAA agent accused of offering sex in exchange for access to directors and a Hollywood star

Cade's the one who pressed the false assault charges against Victor Wembanyama's bodyguard over the summer.
