Now a millionaire overnight. Sold the shirt for £7.1m today. Would make a lovely present for a fat kid.

Seems only fair for Hodge to pocket the cash, I don't recall Maradona giving any money away when he sold Steve's shirt.

His form with Villa got him to Mexico 86, but his head was turned & as soon as he got back he was trying to engineer a move as he didn't want to endure another relegation battle. As our numbers we short & squad relatively young, Turner had to pick him. Generally showed disinterest & limited effort culminating in a game where he under-hit a back pass resulting in a goal, with no remorse at all. He eventually got his move to Spurs, promptly turned into the midfield engine we thought we bought, scored twice against us & we went down by Easter. Not bitter.
