Guess The Song

No, it's not a Spector production.  Think song titles.

Was thinking Rod Stewart (This old old heart of mine) but he's had more than a couple of hits.

And that was a cover version of a Motown hit.  This was an original song on the Motown label.

In the meantime ....

This haunting 70s Motown hit was written and performed by a white artist.

Do you mean the 70s hit was a hit for the white artist?

Yes, and as I said it was one of three UK hits for the artist.

Agree. One of the first singles I bought.  In fact, I think window shopping might have been he first.

I don't know the answer but I like the question!

All in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but random date order in terms of a sequence.

Mamas and Papas feels like the key but I can't unlock it.

Going to see The Cure this year but that's not helping.......

Seen as charon's passed his up:

Song title then artist

You might end up with one after failing to pay drug dealer his dues (6, 7, 4)

Many of these could be found in Transmetropolitan's streets (7, 6)

I think you misplaced your abacus. Obviously not the correct answer.

Cryptic crossword clues are above your intellect, it's okay to admit it.

I want to say Alanis Morissette (sp?) Jagged Little Pill, but it doesn't quite seem to fit.

I've been thinking of any old streets in a metropolitan area...then I looked up Transmetropolitan, saw it was some kind of comic book, and subsequently gave up immediately.

Some kind of Heroes might be found on such graphic novel streets? It's probably too modern for me....

It's do with one of the unusual rituals/habits the half-aliens have in the comic book, if that helps anyone...

Song title has three words. First word six letters, second word seven letters, third word four letters.

Artiste has two words, seven and six letters.
