Sir Creep 7,071 Posted December 10, 2019 Thanks to Frates I move UP from 41 to 34 lol. Sadly could be my best finish ever. God I suck at this DP
BuffaloPhil 946 Posted December 29, 2019 Looks like drol's going to win this one... unless 2019 has a late twist in the tail?
Death Impends 8,029 Posted January 1, 2020 As 2019 draws to a close, I can officially congratulate @drol as the year's Inverse winner! Though he picked the two most popular hits (Doris Day and Marieke Vervoort) plus the welcomed death of Mugabe, he placed all three very low on his team, seeing him finish with the impressively low score of 10. Additionally, as he also won in 2017, he becomes the first player in Inverse history to win twice. Befits someone known for his lists of immortals, doesn't it? New thread to commence in the coming days... 5

Any given 97-year-old is, statistically speaking, far more likely than not to see 98 – but if you fill your team with nonagenarians, you're bound to have a timebomb or two. She was also on my DDP theme team of #1 hitmakers, so hedged my bets a bit there. 2. Bob Hawke, 1 point. Thought he was overrated as a serious deadpool pick – seemed basically to be one article where he was quoted as saying something like "I FEEL LIKE SHIT AND MIGHT DIE SOON", which I thought was at least as likely to just be an 89-year-old with a morbid sense of humour as it was a serious health report. Quite lucky I had him as low as this on my team – I think I just liked having a little cluster of Bobs at the bottom. Cheers to Dole and Barker for hanging on in there. 3. Beth Chapman, 4 points. Only on my team because Sir Creep said she was a definite goner. 4. Robert Mugabe, 11 points. Seemed to me like he was living a fairly placid enforced retirement. Probably the worst possible death for my team – he was my highest-ranked pick not to be on the "consensus" top 25. Robert Mugabe's death – a tragedy for me personally. Rest in power ✊ 5. Marieke Vervoort, 13 points. She'd set a date for her euthanasia in 2018, it passed, she didn't, and I figured that was that – I thought she only remained in the top 50 from bottom-feeder deadpoolers hoovering up last year's popular picks. Oh well. Sad not to have defended my 2018 Inverse Dead Pool title, but no dishonour in clinging to the top 10. (Well, joint 10th in the top 11.)

Yeah, I should have looked out for her more, like when she put Fairlie in the 2nd slot (I cringed) I shoulda moved it or told her try again. But it was her list.....so....
