Currently on 16th position, but gaps are small.

Here are my survivors:

Tom Smith (Joker) - If this man doesn't go down. I don't have any chance at all.
George Alagiah - Back on TV? F*ck.
Noel Conway - Slowly dying, maybe too slowly...
David Gulpilil - Why isn't this guy dead already?
Yoo Sang-Chul - Clearly has to go at some point, but maybe not this year.
Leon Spinks - I'd say it is very unlikely for him to survive this year. 90% chance that he dies before 2021.
Nobby Stiles - Haven't seen any news about him. Could go this year, could go later. DEAD 30/10/2020
Alex Trebek - 50/50 chances. DEAD 08/11/2020
Jean-Louis Trintignant - According to sources should be dead already. What is going on?
Bill Turnbull - Seems like not going this year...
Eddie Van Halen - Nobody really knows when...  DEAD 06/10/2020

So... if I get Smith, Gulpilil, Spinks and maybe 1-2 extras from the list, do I have any chance to win? I doubt it... so better luck next year!

Better than expected.

Well, in Trebek’s case he is completely irrelevant for the title since everyone had him

The "canon" gets a hit. Yoo Sang-Chul must also be in danger. But David Gulpilil still lives.

Alex Trebek's death puts the Drop 40 to 16/40, a new DDP record.

I have updated for the various recent hits.

Tom's Chainsaw Massacre has had an incredible run these past days and finds themselves at 6th place now. Sutcliffe and Supernaw today, Trebek two days ago, as a joker, and Nobby Stiles just two weeks ago.

Certainly, player of the month of November, with possibly the best november ever.

Des O'Connor is a hit for my Pop Go the Wurzels team....

So Des O'Connor died "peacefully in his sleep". The fall was more than a week ago. I refer to our previous discussion of these cases, that the fall was just a normal age-related occurrence, and not directly related to his death. So it's a natural death.

Yeah a fall bonus needs to be directly related to the death, like Christopher Barry, whose death was directly linked to falling down an escalator at a shopping centre.

He died 'with a fall' not 'of a fall'.

As I need to submit my team before I start receiving everyone's entries I finished my first draft for 2021 this lunchtime.

Two weeks left to tinker with it.

I'm missing three dead cert 30 to 50 year olds so if anyone wants to PM me....:D

I heard Peter Falk has Alzheimer’s. He might be one you should think about...

Okay, cleaning up our general DDP database and I keep finding some rotten apples.

I think I post it here for general knowledge, and my own references.

New List of the Lost-ers:

Vladimir Dolgikh

Olympic Athlete Robert Chef D'Hotel died in Octobre 2019, but it's such an incredibly obscure announcement that probably wasn't even made in 2019.

Gertrude Ellison

Erich Ritter

I don't do nice graphs like Biblio, but here's the "remaining" DDP hits mapped out. The 2020 DDP is at 243 hits, 32 behind the record, and a day ahead of the record holder now. A slow November has put the attempt at a new record in jeopardy.

274 – 27/12/2016 – Carrie Fisher

273 – 26/12/2016 – George S Irving

271 – 24/12/2016 – Rick Parfitt

270 – 24/12/2016 – Richard Adams

269 – 24/12/2016 – Liz Smith

268 – 24/12/2016 – Edwin Reinecke

267 – 20/12/2016 – Michele Morgan

266 – 20/12/2016 – Patrick Jenkin

265 – 19/12/2016 - Rabbi Lionel Blue

264 – 18/12/2016 – Leo Marjane

263 – 18/12/2016 – Zsa Zsa Gabor

262 – 17/12/2016 – Henry Heimlich

"Finbarr Returns From the Dead" receives some late points for ALS "awareness raiser" Chris Penderast, because of a Daily Mail article about him. It comes a month late and slipped through the cracks - sorry!

I assume Mr. Wolfensohn will get an obit in no time, which puts us at 246 hits, i.e. 30 away from the record with about 36/37 days left. And even if we fail to break the record, with a slightly smaller number of teams, it's still impressive and a credit to the wide quality of players.

Just would like to congrats Reptile on his win after the late Felton obit. 25 points, I believe that’s the biggest lead since DDT dominate win in 2011...
