Considering they're going to have to find a lot of new names for the 2025 DL, have absolutely zero objection to the committee shoving Chuckie in the low 30s.

Palace say they optimistic. Sounds like One doesn’t want to be on the 2025 list to me

A relatively optimistic Crem post? I think I'm going to faint from shock!

My view - they put Julie Walters on this years list just in case her news turned bad, they can do that for the bloody King.

It must be a terminal, but (so far) manageble kind of cancer. Chronic leukemia, bladder cancer, or prostate cancer.

Pretty sure someone on here shared some inside info they received that it's bladder cancer but not clear on the stage. If it's stage 3 bladder cancer I unfortunately have a pretty good idea in how it's likely going to play out (My grandfather died from it, it was a year and a half from diagnosis to death.)

There's no indication it "must be" that. Carter had "terminal" cancer and survived.

Per The Times:

Quote

Announcing a return to public duties, the King is pictured arm-in-arm with the Queen on a sunlit stroll through the gardens at Buckingham Palace. The messaging is clear: he’s (nearly) out of the woods.

Would tend to agree. Could be a few years yet but would still think he might be worth a slot lower down the list

I imagine that they wouldn’t leak words such as optimism if they think death is coming in the next few months. Ditto it also probably means they would also slowly prepare people for his death as it gets nearer but without making a big announcement that it is terminal.

I thought this was already debunked as fake/edited? I've seen several versions now.

Would agree unlikey in the next 12 months. Complications etc.. is the only reason it might happen in the next 12 months

I'd imagine it's a case of someone writing hundreds of tweets saying "The queen dies on xxx date" and simply removing all but the correct one once she'd actually died. I've seen the same thing happen before with a YouTube channel which "predicted" the death of major celebrities: the videos only gained traction after the celebrities had died: once all the videos with incorrect dates had been removed.

It's a very weird thing to do to try to gain notoriety for yourself, but people eat it up...

No doubt that the first date was a fiddle but the second one still stands...

Yes I've seen those with the celebs still alive, no doubt waiting for their retrospective date changing. They're dreadful!

Photo released for Burns' night, he looks more frail but could be ageing as much as the cancer effects:

Charles has always looked older than his actual age and he is 76 and has cancer so hardly surprising he looks frailer, still think he has a few years left in him, doubt he will live another 20 plus years like his Mother and Father, give him 5 years tops.

He looks better than most people his age. His treatment is more likely the reason for his relative frailty.

I think the length of his reign will be comparable to his grandfather’s: about 15 years.

Thus he will last to about 2037 in his late 80s/early 90s.

I doubt it. I'd say 85 would be a reach for him.
