I was going to post this, sad to say but IMO the bloke is going senile,at least Peter Purves had his marbles on that show With all these 1970s male tv celebs coming under fire from Operation Yewtree, I surprised Peter hasn't been under suspicion yet... especially with a relevant surname like his. No Peter will it seems shag anything in a skirt (I got that from his own autobiography) but I do not think there is any suscpicion that he did anything illegal. Including Valerie Singleton, although he did have to kick Joan Armatrading out of her bed first, so I'm told... He also notched up Jean Marsh from their days on Doctor Who. Really? I wonder if he finished upstairs or downstairs...

I'd think Japan, and so Tokyo, has a radiant future. It seems that future has also escaped the IOC's attention. regards, Hein by radiant you mean nuclear radiant ? I think they wanted to give it to turkey but with the riots ,civil war next door in syria and the fact Istanbul's infrastructure is no where near a high enough standard was the reason Tokyo got it. I have a feeling that these are the next host cities: paris 2024 usa 2028 Argentina 2032 turkey 2036. It is odd that the IOC took 11 months to come to the same conclusion as me last year. I think the next four might be Germany 2024 (Berlin?) USA 2028 (New York) Africa 2032 (Not sure where but I think they would want to go there) Scotland 2036 (With life president Alex Salmond parachuting in to the opening ceremony)

There is an important distinction. Allegations of sexual abuse in the distant past generally involve no concrete evidence, just one person's word against another. Computer history, on the other hand, can be verified. Ah, reason and logical thinking. Not much in demand today. regards, Hein

So sexually abusing children is fine as long as its quite a while ago, but looking at child porn on a laptop he bought within the last couple of years, that's beyond the pale. It's a curiously temporal moral system that. On a different note I suspect these various scandels have done much to revive use of the word 'nonce.' There is an important distinction. Allegations of sexual abuse in the distant past generally involve no concrete evidence, just one person's word against another. Computer history, on the other hand, can be verified.

What is the general feel about Townsend in the UK? Do most people believe his excuse or do they think he is guilty and got away with it? It was never really mentioned that much in the Aussie media, even at the time and it seems all but forgotten over here now. My opinion is that, even if you really, honestly, genuinely are wanting to 'research' that sort of thing, would you really be dumb enough to search for it online? Especially when you are a high profile rock god? If he's genuinely not guilty of being a nonce, then he's certainly guilty of being a total fucking idiot.

My favourite Olympic bid of all time was the Stoneybridge one from the TV show Absoloutely
