Some post second round analysis. There were 83 different picks out of 16 teams (176 team members) so a 47.2% ratio. Out of those 83 there are 50 uniques (60.2%). Of the 83, 10 died (12%) although no QO for Bruce. Round One 11.5% of the picks died so very similar despite feeling like a much quieter month. Perhaps it was because 5 of the deaths occurred in one match. Of the 50 uniques, 3 died (6%) although one was Bruce. Round One 5% of the unique picks died. At the other end of the spectrum of the 10 people selected by 5 or more teams, 2 died (20%) Rnd 1 (30%). For round three There are 54 different picks out of 8 teams (88 team members) so a 61.4% ratio meaning a greater spread of selections in each match. Out of those 54 there are 35 uniques (64.8%). This month we're down to a top 7 chosen by 3 or more teams (last month's ranking in brackets). 1. Catherine Nevin (1) 2. Gord Downie (2) 3. Errol Christie (5) 4.= Sasha Lakovic (4) 4.= Michael of Romania (3) 4.= Van Zandvliet (New Entry) 4.= John Vennari (New Entry) Other than Magill and Dalton who died Bracknell, Morano and Rayya all dropped out of the charts although all were still picked by at least one team.

51 year old? Alan? Cuts related cancer? That's just stirring the DDP QO pot for some of us...

Just for info... North Kent is packed with DFLs (Down From London). 12 years here and I have yet to meet more than around 10 people who confess to actually being born here - admittedly, those 10 are worrying enough by themselves. I know a lady who considers a trip from Thanet to Canterbury to be a major excursion and has never been to London in her life. The local bus garage is staffed almost entirely by semi retired London bus drivers - who when they first get here, cannot believe there is such a thing as a bus that doesn't have an assault screen. As for the racist element.... yeah, true, but they are all Londoners who fled down here a couple of decades back when London started to become over-heated and overpriced. All said though.... there are worse places to live. I can recommend Deal or Sandwich, which seem to be undergoing a renaissance. But I have taken a liking to Middlesbrough since my youngest moved there. It's so flipping cold though which is a downer.

Ah, April. As the weather gets warmer, the DDP hits get fewer. But - not to fret - as the Windy City Deadpool is here to save us all from a summer of deadpooling boredom! Basics: Pick a team of 20 people. The higher their rank, the more points they get when they die and obit. Submit it to me via PM or on this thread, by the end of April. Scoring System: 1st pick: 500 points 2nd pick: 450 points 3rd pick: 400 points 4th pick: 350 points 5th pick: 300 points 6th pick: 275 points 7th pick: 250 points 8th pick: 225 points 9th pick: 200 points 10th pick: 180 points 11th pick: 160 points 12th pick: 140 points 13th pick: 120 points 14th pick: 100 points 15th pick: 85 points 16th pick: 70 points 17th pick: 55 points 18th pick: 50 points 19th pick: 45 points 20th pick: 40 points No bonus points! As you can see the margin slowly decreases from 50 to 25 to 20 to 15 to 5. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by whoever has the most unique hits. Acceptable Obits: Anything accepted by the Derby Dead Pool, plus The Independent. Plus the following national American news sources: - ABC News - NBC News - CBS News - Fox News Plus the following local American news sources: - New York Times - LA Times - Chicago Tribune Duration: The competition lasts from May 1, 2017 to April 30, 2018. Get your team in before Big Ben welcomes the month of May.

Oh so Orpington is yet to be relocated to South London like Croydon and Sidcup have? Dagenham and Ilford are now routinely mentioned as being in East London, I assumed Sarf Lundun was also spreading even further to cover whole swathes of Surrey and Kent. At this rate Norfolk will be a borough of North London within the next 20 years.

Werner Stiller, Stasi officer who defected to the west, disrupting the East German spy network and later forged a career with Goldman Sachs, has died aged 69. He left his wife and kids behind but helped his mistress and son escape. Go figure.

That was a real dull match, yet felt like a Cruyff's Holland game next to the horror show that was Ukraine vs Switzerland in the knockout stages.
