Well with this horrible explosion I may bite the bullet and make a "Rest of 2020 Bingo" card.

Where are you still seeing 78? The latest reports say 100+.

Upon posting, the Danish media I read from, had 78+ on their headline. Sorry for not being up to date, to you and the poster who apparently facepalmed me. I shall stop posting.

Went back to check the article, and they still have it at 78 deaths as of this edit. Again, sorry that the sources I read (our equivalent of BBC) is not up to date.

Many thousands dead or injured. This is clearly the most devastating event since 911.I am  in tears watching the footage. So reminiscent of Hiroshima.

Far too early to know the death toll.  The number of known deaths is going to be changing all the time at this stage.

The exact death toll will never be known, they will get a good idea by number of missing persons for anyone who was beside it, and for those further away they will add up the body parts. The only saving grace is that the warehouse was in the docks area and not closer to housing.

Why post that again? It wasn't funny the first time you posted it.

Why is this a thread?

oh Spade Cooley.  Must not have been around when Beirut bombed a couple decades back.  Title insinuates this is something new and unique.  SMH

Probably a coincidence. Possibly 100,000 dead, with such a high population in Beirut and the blast being felt in Cyprus.

That’s just images of the blast site you can literally see the rest of Beirut in the background of the second picture.

I'd imagine it'll be a few thousand dead, not that I give a fuck. No doubt some will pretend to be devastated whilst really not giving a fuck as well.

What would you consider the Uyghur genocide?

I think this video does this best job at showing the scope of the damage.

Looking at that I'd say it would be in the hundreds rather than thousands. However every cloud has a silver lining, it'll be a good time to be a double glazing salesman over there for the forseeable.

International architect, Jean-March Bonfils, to be among the dead according to Twitter.

Source:

He apparently made a Facebooks post just before the major explosion that can be seen here:

You'd assume from that video footage we're talking in the 100s of deaths in Beirut today. Local terrorism? Israel? Incompetence?

Well I still think it was an ISIS dirty nuclear bomb and they're all covering it up .

You might be surprised to know that I am not a nuclear expert, so if anyone here is could you tell me does a nuclear blast always lead to radioactive fallout or can it happen without it?

A nuclear blast always leads to nuclear fallout unless you manage to fission every singe last atom of radioactive material in the bomb.

We arent close to being capable of creating explosions powerful enough to create significant gammay ray radiation without the use of nuclear materials.
