Yeah - if Sadpara and Snorri are both dead and also QO then I’ll still get my 5 minutes of glory at the pinnacle before plummeting down the order - similar to their probable fate.
Death Impends 8,043 Posted February 6, 2021 Leon Spinks marks the 100th lifetime hit for TJS. One of my last big DDP goals reached! Weirdly if my two past LotLers got their obits back in the day, then Trebek would've carried that distinction.
Ulitzer95 12,894 Posted February 6, 2021 4/40 in the Drop40 gone. Two in the last 24 hours alone. Beginners luck though I reckon. Still, I can see there being another 10–12 from that list before the year is out.
Banana 865 Posted February 7, 2021 Just for some confirmation, does ANY UK Yahoo link count as a QO? Because the rules state uk.news.yahoo.com links count, not uk.*.yahoo.com. Because if it's the latter, that's a pretty bad catch-all ruling imo. Not a single one of the 3(!) uk.*.yahoo.com links that Josh Evans got were written by someone in the UK. Not to mention he got 3 from that catch-all, but nothing anywhere else.

Death Impends 8,043 Posted February 7, 2021 Mail is weird like that, a lot of their articles don't pop up on Google. You often have to go on the Mail website itself and use their own search function.

Which begs the question: should dailymail.co.uk/wires/* links count as QO sources? It just seems counter-intuitive to accept all these "UK" sources that clearly aren't UK sources. Otherwise, just have the AP.
gcreptile 11,084 Posted February 7, 2021 Major upheaval of the scoreboard. All the balls are shuffled in the box, or something.... Jackie Treehorn comes out on top. Depending on what time exactly the QO articles appeared, GUN's K2 theme team might have virtually lead for a few hours between the QO of Skatov and the QO of Susan Bayh. Check you trying to depreciate ppl of points though. Petty.

What he was trying to say, I think, is that it prompts the question.
Salmon Mousse 473 Posted February 7, 2021 If a mountain climber dies climbing a mountain is the death really unnatural? Sheriff Ed Tom: "It sounded like these old boys died of natural causes." Deputy Wendell: "How's that, Sheriff?" Sheriff Ed Tom: "Natural to the line of work they was in."

Much more likely but very much unnatural. Ditto TT racers, F1 Drivers, known drug addicts etc (clearly I’m biased but I think my answer is correct and I also think if you try and construct a team of these people most years you will get a miserable hit rate and so the bonus is deserved). Save some of your outrage for when Tamara Lunger falls off some other mountain on her birthday and I get 44 points For one hit.
msc 18,556 Posted February 7, 2021 An 100ft fall is an unnatural death if it happens on Everest or out a window...
Death Impends 8,043 Posted February 7, 2021 When you think about it terrorists getting droned to smithereens are as "comes with the territory" as mountaineers dying in mountain accidents, and have always carried the unnatural bonus.

Sir Creep 7,071 Posted February 8, 2021 The foxes are in charge of the henhouse, I see. If I put together a team of lion tamers, and one gets eaten by a lion, was that an unexpected death? Asking for a friend.

Still unnatural, though.
CaptainChorizo 1,991 Posted February 8, 2021 The only unnatural death that seemed iffy to me ,was when random 90 year old dies from *death from a fall* .A human standing on their own 2 hind leg's is a natural everyday occurance unlike say taming a lion, jumping out of an airplane, shooting a lethal dose of opiuds into your arm, plane crash etc
