I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

Ok, I'm back. Not looking has not solved the issues.

You mean to tell me that some bloke out of a middling sitcom from a couple of decades ago isn't enough for you?!?!

Abdul Taib is the only bloke I knew who died during my absence. Better one than zero.

Past 24 hours have had 3 quite famous British actors, a Nobel prize winner and former MP, an F1 driver, 2nd oldest person and a Quarryman. I think that's quite a decent selection.

Yeah for the UK. Over here in the US we’ve hit a severe dry spell.

I don't know who Savident was.

Camber, Joshi, Fittipaldi, Guillemin, Presle, Taib all names I knew. So decent few days.

How could you forget about world-famous animation sculptor Kent Melton, I've never seen a bigger Wikipedia page.

Last week reviewed in terms of deaths of people I knew (I premise Toriyama is a huge death but happened on the 1st):

Today: no one

Yesterday: no one

Thursday: Son Myung-soon (very minor South Korea first lady)

Wednesday: no one

Tuesday: Steve Marsh (only because of previous death hoax), Solihin GP (minor Immortal)

Monday: Barbara Balzerani (barely famous in Italy), Kees Rijvers (legit significance)

Sunday: Edward Bond (huge), Juli Lynne Chariot, Eleanor Collins (elders)

Saturday: Mohammed Emami-Kashami (good riddance award), Mr Ibu (DP pick)

Generally very underwhelming after a period in which it seemed better.

Steve Lawrence, at least here in the US, was the biggest death of the week.

I'm thinking the long wait is in anticipation of Jimmy being the next hit.

I have a feeling that the fourth hit will finally arrive at the end of March or beginning of April after this long drought.

First day of spring today brings winter officially to a close.

Pretty awful 3 months. Never known it to be this dry. Thought it was getting better a few weeks ago and then an even worse dry spell.

Bah!

Are you talking in hits in general or the Main Deathlist?  Well when I look at my own shadow list and I only have 2 hits and both early on in January and have not had one since I would agree with you.  But I see you have 10 hits from your list and The Immortal and gcreptile have 10 hits each on shadow list pool I believe 10 hits in 3 months seem fairly a good ratio. No?

My strong feeling is it's because of Jimmy. When he goes, which could range from a few days to several weeks from now, the dam will burst.
