Amazing Grace was played at my grandad's funeral. Hearing it always brings me back to that day. Judy Collins had a good version in 1970, but like her Send in the Clowns, both reached the top 10 but not top spot.

 

(Incidentally, Judy is still alive, aged 83.)

Only 'probably'? I can assure you, you won't be the only one downvoting this! Looking at Dawn's charting singles, the ones that didn't get to number one are (IMO) a lot bit better than the ones that did (though a low bar, I grant you).

To be honest I had managed to successfully blank Dawn from my memory entirely until knock three times turned up - then you mentioned it wasn't their worst offering - prompting me to recall what was.

Without knowing their entire catalogue (and being too scared to actually look with 2/2 being amongst the most irritating songs in history) I couldn't be categorical and thus I settled on probably even if in all likelihood it was 'certainly'. 

 

We have so much pain yet to come, I'm buggered if I'm trawling for unnecessary grief.
