UB40 are horrible, however.

I love UB40's early original stuff.  But then they turned into a covers band which was a shame.

I thought I was going to struggle who to give minus points to as there is no shitty Blondie. But there is alleged paedophile Michael Jackson to give minus points to

Bit confused, maybe I missed the conversation, but what resulted last round?  Did we decide to advance 5 instead of 4?

Oh, Food for Thought (Ivory Madonna to me heh). is a fantastic track - but red red wine most assuredly is not.

In fact there probably aren't too many artists where the distance between the zenith and nadir is so marked in my mind.

Come on, red red wine is an iconic song especially when they added that rap bit in the middle.

Why are we wasting time? There are 3 much worse songs which aren't in the bottom 5. Get them the hell out.

Ahh A town called Malice. Giving me Billy Elliot flashbacks so just now rocking out on Spotify.

Slightly confused with Kraftwerk – The Model / Computer Love as on Spotify they are seperate songs.

Ok, I'll roll with this 'Oh come on' vibe.

'Oh come on', I should take you seriously when the first thing you do is vote for Renee and Renato? (which you know will be universally panned, because you said as much)

The prosecution rests.

Oh and, no contest. This is proper UB40 not some Neil Diamond schmaltz cover.

I don’t want to speak for every Yank, but I’m pretty safe in saying Americans never heard any of these songs.  I’m sure our charts have shite entries too, but when I chuckle at the U.K. charts these are typically the type of songs I’m thinking of. It’s inexplicable how they get airplay imho but there it is.  I just wanted to point out how some of us have no idea of these tunes.
I just now went YouTubing to give em a listen, and they are all hopelessly dreadful, apart from Shakin’ Stevens that’s not bad.
Of course I know KC & Sunshine Band, but that song doesn’t appear on the Best Of CD I own. Lol seriously.

As soon as I saw a photo of Nicole I said ‘that sure looks Eurovision’ and in fact, after hearing a few notes, that was confirmed.  At least it explains sales/airplay.

Never heard of Bucks Fizz, they never got a second of airplay in the States, and you Brits have TWO #1 songs by them.  After giving them a fair listen, you can have them.

They won Eurovision with Making Your Mind Up in 1981 and then put out other songs which gained popularity. Very popular with the Eurovision fans and Cheryl Baker has literally had a 30 year presenting career out of being in the band due to winning Eurovision.

Sir Creep is starting off by giving appropriate love to Captain Sensible in a manner counter to what you knobs did to Stand And Deliver (certainly top 4 last round).  The good Captain won’t last but it won’t by on Creep’s conscience.

SC also wants to be responsible for at least one song’s elimination, and so we have it.  B-bye Sir Paul and Little Stevie.

(‘Seven Tears’ was changed to the WORD seven a) cuz it’s the actual title - see YouTube, and b) to eliminate possible confusion with our +/- numbering)

I think you are confusing black singers in a way that causes MPs to have to resign over here.

Sir Paul's Collab with Jacko was 'the girl is mine' which is 10 times worse than ebony and ivory, one of the greatest songs ever written.

It's pretty hard to save a song by a dead probable paedo but there are a lot of crimes against music higher up the page and I think we're supposed to be voting on that (nevertheless the song will be gone by time I come to vote tomorrow).
