The Daredevil 1,189 Posted January 2, 2023 Has recently finished filming a small part in The Pale Blue Eye. Looks great and sounds ok for his age in it. Visible around the 50th second of the trailer: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ddbL9jvg77w Duvall also has a role in the upcoming film, The Ploughmen, currently in production. In other words, a hasty pick.
RyanandYodle 7 Posted January 9, 2023 Oh. I got him mixed up with James Cann, who did pass last year. All these Godfather people, can't keep track of them.

dimreaper 697 Posted January 11 Not sure how recent this photo is but it was posted online for his 93rd birthday. He seems to have aged quite a bit in the last few years.
tracy 2,392 Posted January 11 I think he has looked to have aged quite a bit for about 40 years now, so I don't think there's much out of the ordinary there. (Btw, googling shows it's from last September when he was honored by the Virginia General Assembly.)
Joey Russ 7,220 Posted January 11 For whatever reason he reminds me of Strom Thurmond in that photo, but maybe that’s just me
CaptainChorizo 1,977 Posted January 12 It could be just the giant chair and angle of that photo making him look more frail then he really is.

maryportfuncity 10,645 Posted January 25 A random but maybe relevant fact here - his wiki page mentions his skills at dancing the tango, a known boost for mental and physical longevity. Oh aye, and his fourth missus shares his birthday but was born the day he turned 41! Dull thread atm, mind - don't think he's going anywhere other than this planet anytime soon.

The Daredevil 1,189 Posted July 14 Video of Duvall from March 2024 He has continued to stay active on Facebook since; safe for rest of 2024 and a reasonable drop for 2025.

Perhaps... But the man is 93. He could feel great one day and be dead the next. Look at Richard Simmons this past week. Enjoying his birthday with no worries and next day gone without any warnings. I wouldn't exactly say that Simmons looked well even 10 years ago, when he retired from public life, and he was only in his mid-60's then. And while, sure, it could never be a surprise if a 93-year-old didn't make it out of next year, I'm not surprised in the least that Simmons died.

Oh I agree with you, I do not thing he was all that well. But at the same time he was enjoying his birthday the day before and there were no indications he was about to drop dead. So it was a little bit of a surprise. I guess I am not convinced that seeing a 93 year old on a video at a restaurant eating a dessert quietly means that he is going to make it to 2026 either. On the other hand the Death List Team might have to make some hard choices and take off a lot of people being they can only keep 25 people from this year. So seeing Duvall walking around in public posting on Facebook steady might mean they take the risk and take him off and replace him with someone frailer. I myself will not be taking him off my list though.

Fucking simple really.
MrWonderful 480 Posted July 15 Unless something changes, he won't be on my top 50 list next year. There are just too many candidates, in my view, who are much more likely to die. I've resisted adding Dick Van Dyke to my list, for example, because I simply thought he was too active, looked good enough to where I figured he would be OK. If he can get through 2024, though, I think next year he goes on my list. Not because he still doesn't look good, but once you get to 100, I think it's time lol.
