Kinnock sounds so happy and a tad emotional on Sky. Must have thought he'd never see a Labour Govt again after 2019

Good on Neil Kinnock being on live TV at 5am.

He looks well and sounds better than he has the last couple of years.

I worried Kinnock would go downhill when Glenys died but he seems to be in good shape .

Waveney Valley another Green gain from the Tories, giving them 3 seats (4 if they hold Brighton Pavillion).

It's a good night for Labour obviously, achieving a landslide as they just have, but the growth of Independent candidates and minor parties like the Greens, Reform and others is a big story too - it could mean more unexpected seat-by-seat results in future and will certainly reignite the PR debate. We're not necessarily a two-party system anymore.

I do occasional campaign speaking in favour of voting reform. This election is going to be an absolute beauty in trying to sell the case for proportional representation.

That's my constituency declared, Labour Hold Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven; apparently lots of spoiled ballots indicating a preference for the former MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle or for Reform (who didn't stand). A low turn-out too 59.96%
