She isn't a bad pick imo.An A Lister of a certain age.Wasnt on my radar for the list be seems decent enough pint pick for the bottom of the list.

Regarding her unfortunate appearance in 2014:

Not a bad pick at all, she’s a legend, I’m really glad they included her and Hedren as a fan of Hitchcock. Only complain is I would have loved to see Vera Miles in there too : I’m afraid this was the last chance they had to have all the remaining Hitchcock blonds on the list at once. Saint and Hedren are circling the drain

Yes, that's true. I guess the problem with Vera Miles for the committee is that she is such a recluse. Apart from her now very old age, we have nothing to go on, as she has not made any films or appeared at public events since the 1990s.

That is a fair point but I think in ideal circumstances she would be worth a punt.   One concern  I don't have is that despite being reclusive  I don't think she will die off radar if for no other reason than one of her grandsons is an actor  who has a social media presence and I'm sure  he would mention  his grandmothers passing  , which would then filter out to the media.

She is still quite active responding to fan mail (she usually only takes a week or so, which is quite rapid), and usually writes fairly lengthy response letters. So she can't be doing that badly. Also, worth mentioning again that most evidence suggests she is a year younger than the 95 her age is generally given as.
