If I recall correctly, Obakefilter posted it earlier on the 20th century sitcom thread.

There is no rule that deaths or other news may only be posted in one thread.

We have many topics, and a lot of people fit into more than one.  It's appropriate to post them in any relevant thread.

Fair. But why do most people get scrutinized for it but some don't?

There's no rule allowing them to be so. I suggest you just ignore them.

It's fair to deploy :clivedunn: when someone has posted news that has already been posted in the same thread.

Someone gave me five boxes of old VHS tapes, and I'm slowly plowing through them, bringing me to Resurrection (1980), starring fellow Detroiter Ellen Burstyn (b dec 7 1932) and also casting Madeleine Sherwood (billed as Madeleine Thornton-Sherwood) who died April 23, 2016. A couple others in the cast are Clifford David (b June 1932) and Lois Smith (b Nov 1930). All three are decent possibilities in the next few years.

Lois Smith is a good shout and has also turned 87 today :birthday:

How well-known are these stars of American Westerns tv-series of the 50s & 60s in Britain?

Robert Horton (Co-star of Wagon Train)

Hugh O'Brian (Star of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp)

Clint Walker (Star of Cheyenne)

Clu Gulager (Co-star of The Tall Man)

Ty Hardin (Star of Bronco)

Will Hutchins (Co-star of Sugarfoot)

I think O'Brian and possibly Clint Walker are "obitable".

Happy Birthday to Hollywood survivor Clu Gulager 89 today :birthday:

Classic Hollywood actress Arlene Dahl pictured here out having a meal with Joan Collins. Not sure it proves much either way only that currently she is well and able enough to be out and about.

She's on my longlist. I knew she was bad a couple of years ago. But then she got better and attended conventions.

Looking at her resume seems to be nothing but guest roles and bit parts, however the fact she has so many headshots on  imdb negates that . She seems to have a proactive agent so she will probably get qualifying obits.

Given the unique is no more: she's Elvis's love interest in Live a Little Love a Little. Still appears on British TV now and again as a talking head in stuff about Elvis. Obit cert.

I really think Olivia Newton John could die in 2018. It was in the news over the summer she has cancer and is very ill.

Production on “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the forthcoming biopic about Queen frontman Freddie Mercury starring Rami Malek, has been suspended so that director and producer Bryan Singer, can tend to what his representative described as “a personal health matter".

He allegedly threw an object at the film's star, Rami Malek, then failed to show up to work citing "post-traumatic stress disorder." Looks like a mental phase more than anything.

After Rance Howard's death I wondered how many Cool Hand Luke actors were still alive as Kennedy, Davalos, Stanton, James and Howard have all died in a year and a half. So here is the list, which is rather short:

*Joy Harmon (1940), played Lucille, the girl.

*Lou Antonio (1934), played Koko.

*Anthony Zerbe (1936), played Dog Boy.

*Joe Don Baker (1936), played Fixer.

It is interesting to see how many cast members have died since 2010:

Dennis Hopper (29 May 2010, aged 74)

Luke Askew (29 March 2012, aged 80)

Ralph Waite (13 February 2014, aged 85)

Wayne Rogers (31 December 2015, aged 82)

George Kennedy (28 February 2016, aged 91)

Richard Davalos (8 March 2016, aged 85)

Buck Kartalian (24 May 2016, aged 93)

Clifton James (15 April 2017, aged 96)

Harry Dean Stanton (15 September 2017, aged 91)

Charles Tyner (8 November 2017, aged 92)

Rance Howard (25 November 2017, aged 89)

Morgan Woodward (22 February 2019, aged 93)
