I'm currently working my way through Annie Jacobson's cheery new book Nuclear War, A Scenario, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone of a nervous disposition.   

 

Anyway, Bill Clinton's Secretary of state William Perry, 96, was interviewed extensively for the book and is clearly still very alert, with a good recall for previous events.  I just thought I'd mention that, as Perry is a perennial deadpool pick, but there never seems to be any news on how he's doing.

Very good. I like most apocalyptic fact and fiction .

 

Without getting too political, I do worry about Trump getting his hands on these toys again. I won't spoil it for you, but the 'Devils Scenario' which befalls California is particularly spine chilling.

Former US senator from Idaho Steve Symms passed away on August 8, at the age of 86.

 

Symms was a member of the senate from 1981-1993, and a US representative 1973-1981.

At the risk of sounding pedantic, Evans was a Republican not a Democrat. He was also somewhat infamous for hiring a young Ted Bundy as a campaign staffer.

Serving as governor of Washington (1965-1977), he outlived his four immediate successors, who passed away at the ages of 79, 91, 76 and 78;

 

While his immediate predecessor as governor of Washington (1957-1965), Albert D. Rosellini (wiki), was the oldest US governor in history, passing away at the age of 101 in 2011.
