Life Is Beautiful 716 Posted October 25, 2017 Recent pictures form his birthday celebration, looks healthier than almost all picks plus some of the posters here. Remind me why did they choose this guy again?

He's at that age, where since he requires a stick to help him get around, he could easily take a tumble.
Joey Russ 7,227 Posted October 25, 2017 To be fair, he was one of the better picks from a lot of meh picks, and he had suffered a major health issue last year. That's why he's on the list now. If there aren't a few more deaths this year, I would personally remove him from the list, but that's just me...
Deadpool 166 Posted October 25, 2017 I think he may be removed from the next year deathlist... but that depending of the new candidates and if there are going to be more deaths ...
Yama 57 Posted October 27, 2017 If there are 25 deaths this year no-one has to be removed, is that right?
Joey Russ 7,227 Posted October 27, 2017 Right. I don’t think they will reach 25 deaths, however.
msc 18,472 Posted October 27, 2017 Presumably yes, though there's no rule saying they have to keep a minimum number from the previous year either. I don't see Gay Bryne returning even if he's the 1 in 49/50...
Yama 57 Posted October 27, 2017 Right. Queen Elizabeth is another one who definitely shouldn't make 2018's list.
gcreptile 10,972 Posted October 28, 2017 Hmm.. Maybe the lingering prostate cancer and the treatment occasionally saps his energy. But yes, at the moment, he seems fine.

I am not sure whether they should drop him or not.His health seems better but he is such a huge name with a long history of health issues.

Nobby Stiles was really the only poor choice of name removed in my opinion.

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted September 21, 2018 Terminally ill people should have the right to a "dignified assisted death," former South African archbishop Desmond Tutu said Friday, following a murder charge against a local campaigner for the legalization of euthanasia. He has previously said he would like the option of choosing an assisted death and does not want to be kept alive at whatever cost. Sounds like he knows something and is getting ready. Joey Russ 7,227 Posted September 21, 2018 Pretty sure he’s been advocating for assisted death for years now. Not quite sure he should be brought back to the list yet...

msc 18,472 Posted May 17, 2019 Recent pic. Quote Tutu, 87, is in fragile health and took part in South Africa's special voting for the elderly and infirm where electoral officials go to their homes or care facilities before the actual voting day of May 8. Using a walking stick and smiling, Tutu came out of his home in Cape Town's Milnerton area with voting officials and waved to the press who had gathered. He did not speak but blew a kiss to the press.
