Well that came out of left field.

This of course means the list of living people mentioned in "We Didn't Start the Fire" shrinks to 8.

Well that came out of left field. Probably one of the biggest deaths of the year here in America.

This of course means the list of living people mentioned in "We Didn't Start the Fire" shrinks to 8.

(Queen Elizabeth II, Bridgette Bardot, Fidel Castro, Chubby Checker, Bob Dylan, John Glenn, Doris Day, and Bernard Goetz)

Odd that Ride was the youngest of them.

I had no idea he was 82. I thought maybe he was only in his late 70s

I decided to have a look to see if any Nazi scientists "procured" during Operation Paperclip were still alive. Surprisingly, a few are still with us, these being:

Dieter Grau (born 1913)

Georg von Tiesenhausen (born 1914).

I had no idea whether to file them under the Astronauts, Nazis of SS or Techno Wizards thread, so settled on this one. Decisions, decisions. :P

He sure hasn't had a good week - first losing all those Tour de France titles, now this. Not such a Wonderful World now, is it Neil?
