Guest Guest Posted December 9, 2012 An 'emotional' Chavez has 'said goodbye' to the people of Venezuela and is flying to Cuba for urgent cancer treatment. Experts are saying all the signs are that he may have only weeks left to live and that this surgery only has a slim to no chance of saving hi s life .In other words Hugo Chavez will die either by the end of this year or early 2013.The only question is which is it. http://www.bbc.co.uk...merica-20656441

angryGreatness 96 Posted December 13, 2012 Venezuelan officials have taken a much more somber tone than the earlier report, as his Vice-President and would-be-successor says Chavez faces a "complex and difficult" recovery; and ask that Venezuelans understand if Chavez isn't back in Venezuela by January 10th, the date of his inauguration. adrian0719 220 Posted December 14, 2012 Officials have announced that Chavez suffered complications during the latest surgery, but is recovering from them. His condition has now been upgraded to 'favourable' by doctors. Still don't think that means anything, though.

The Miser 18 Posted December 18, 2012 If he makes it, he has to be a strong candidate for No.1, notwithstanding Cecil, Winner or people like Bernie Nolan...Global coverage should be considered for the DL list. DDP is a different deal....its a test of judgement....does someone get an obit because they are someone's mother or appeared on a TV show. I enjoy both but I like to see the DL 50 have a little more gravitis. Bob Dole should be top 10 as well. Maybe GHW Bush gets in next to the Thatcher. jmho
