Teddy 21 Posted December 25, 2006 May I ask you something, just out of curiosity? Don't feel obliged to answer. You claim to be a pommy by birth. Do you have Australian citizenship? Anyway, there'll be new referenda, and one day it'll pass. I wonder if I'll live to see it. It will pass over my dead body! I think one of the reasons that Australia is allowing the country to be invaded by Asians and other non whites from a non European background is so they will vote in favor of a republic! I would hope that anyone not born in Australia or of European heritage would be excluded from voting in any future poll (which should be decades away or hopefully NEVER!). I doubt the idea of second class citizenship will go down well with the Aussies. I have dual nationality and that's only so I can live here. The climate is nice and its cheap. I serve under 2 crowns and proud to do so! Hey, hasn't Math 6:24 something to say about serving two masters? Anyway, we'll see about The Republic aof Australia. Or not. It's Not My Problem. regards, Hein Well it is my problem because I am fighting against it and Asians and other non-whites invading Australia and upsetting the ethnic mix are not Aussies. The Queen is not my master, the Lord is and both crowns have the same monarch anyway. I think Xenon II has a very valid point. Let's let the original people decide, not all these johnny-come-lately immigrants. No Asains, no non-Europeans whites vote. But hey, why stop there? Let's go back in time (Xenon seems to like that!) Let us exclude all non-indiginous Australians. Let's ask the Aboriginies what their view is - and exclude all these immigrnants who think they can move to a country and decide what the people should think or do. Since aboriginals have played no part in building the modern Australian state and Australia would have remained some piss poor third world country if it was left to their devices, they should also be excluded and btw its AYRES ROCK not Walapoo (or whatever BS they have "renamed" it). With a referendum on the issue being resoundingly defeated a mere 7 years ago, there should not be another vote if any for MANY MORE YEARS. Republicans are zionists and leftists and must be defeated. Xenon II 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Oh dear Mr Notapotato(e), we're not going to fall out are we? I hope I'm not going to miss out on an argument over Margaret Thatcher. I've already been let down by no-one debating whether NASA really landed on the moon! I'm pretty sure they didn't. Just look at the slime bucket who was "president" at the time for starters! Xenon II 0 Posted December 25, 2006 I don't support the "Australian Labor Party" (haha the dumb convicts can't even spell ) because since 1991 that evil socialist organizations official position has been to adopt the stance of being constitutional vandalists. They wish to seek the removal of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as head of state. Miss, I don't support such treacherous behavior, that is a disgrace and a multiculturist attack on the colony of Australia's heritage and culture! "Labor" Party should be abolished!!! [All Thatcher-related posts moved from the "General Pinochet" topic -- MH] Maybe if it was Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Australia there might be more reason for Aussies to give a sh*t? Just asking. Superb sentiment by the way, wanting to abolish a democratic political party in the name of defending multiculturalism... I don't defend multiculturism, it is a blatant attack on European people's culture. When you have a dangerous domestic terrorist organization like the Australian "Labor" party masquarding as a legitimate political party then declaring such a scumbag organization illegal and arresting its members seems quite fitting and proper. And btw "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and (Northern) Ireland" was in reference to her residency not her title. In Australia she goes by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of Australia AND LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!

Just asking. Superb sentiment by the way, wanting to abolish a democratic political party in the name of defending multiculturalism... The Australian people voted in a referendum in 2000 to keep the Monarchy in Australia. It was a narrow victory but a victory all the same. The Labour Party of Australia, with that referendum, are only permitted to remove her of head of state and not remove the monarchy. Unless of course they take it upon themselves to abolish the monarchy without the full consent on the people. TLC, in Australia she has the title Queen of Australia. Or so I'm led to believe. It would make sense. The Labor (sic in the head) party are not permitted to do anything of the sort. It was 56% voting NO to 44% voting YES a pretty clear victory for the naysayers in anyone's book. Head of state and monarchy go together they are inseperable. You can't remove the Queen as head of state and keep the monarchy, that is absurd! That is the monarchies role to be head of state! Xenon II 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Not entirely true. The New Territories were leased from China for 99 years in 1898 the rest (Hong Kong Island, other islands and Kowloon) were annexed by the British decades earlier and were not on a lease. China had no claim on anything more than the New Territories and Thatcher should have annexed them like the rest of the colony. The fact the colonies political makeup was preserved after the handover is besides the point. The territory is rightfully Britains not Chinas, Thatcher is a commie loving bitch and deserves to face justice. Failing that she deserves to die already. Rot in hell bitch! Of all the reasons to hate Thatcher and wish her demise, this wouldn't come at the top of most peole's lists I think... Lol how is it rightfully Britains? Were there Britons living there centuries ago who'd been taken there having been abducted by aliens from Zeta Reticuli, these Britons choosing to stay there rather than return to good old Blighty, funny I don't hear you screaming for the USA to return all the lands back to the native American Indians.... funny that... China GAVE Britain part of Hong Kong, then 100 odd years later DEMANDED it back. The same sort of thing those filthy Spanish have done with Gibraltar (although at least this time they are standing up to the TYRANTS). Now that's like me giving you a Christmas present one year and demanding it back several years later. Absolutely outrageous and the only thing more outrageous is to go along with it and hand it back! Thatcher is a TRAITOR and she's been wasting oxygen long enough! Enough already, come on and DIE! It is your destiny you filthy old commie ass licker! Windsor 2,233 Posted December 26, 2006 Xenon, you make Margaret Thatcher look mild. Indeed, you are even to the right of Adolf Hitler. I have no idea why you attach yourself to the monarchy. The Queen had made it clear that when the time for Republic comes, she will go quietly. The Queen is also someone who respects other faith and culture whereas you are simply ignorant. Your next King, the Prince of Wales, is the embodyment of everything you detest. He is not in a traditional family unit and is open minded towards other race and religion. You seem to be using the wrong instruments in your quest for world hatred. PS. Are you a Catholic?
Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted December 26, 2006 Xenon, On Christmas Eve, the eldest Anubette asked me why I wasn't a Christian, fair point and all that, it was the day before one of the major holidays in the Christian Calender. Next time, rather than trying to explain my rationalist beliefs in language she can understand, I'll merely fire up the PC, point her towards a few of your posts and let her learn for herself the hatred that Christianity instills. Your God is a wrathful God, a Jealous God etc. but whatever happened to the God of Love? Did you kill him for being a poof? By the way X, that night she was also invited to our friends civil partnership ceremony in May. (they're 'race-mixers' as well, you'd love them.) Her response was an excited "Ooh, I've never been to a Gay Wedding before. It'll be great!" We're evolving over here...try it, you might like it. I don't live in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland anymore so I don't read the Guardian but I am a very strong defender of the union between Great Britain and Ireland as well as the monarchy itself and right wing causes. I have wrote poetry in the past, I don't work for that group, I vote for the Liberal party in Australia (which is despite the name the Australian equivalent of the Conservative and Unionist party and is pro monarchist), I never hugged a tree, hardly ever eaten lentils, don't have a "partner", campaign against the homosexual deathstyle and AIDS is a Godsend against the wicked. grobler 35 Posted December 26, 2006 I propose that all Death Pools should add some sort of negative score whenever anyone picks Maggie (she who must be obeyed) Some may say Boudiccea was a femine icon (the real one ) , others might go for Elizabeth 1 , or perhaps even Mother Theresa...or that siily spoilt pampered cow who died in a Paris tunnel..... But when you stop to think...there is only one woman that should be worshipped for all she has done for mankind.....aahhh....I'm going all weak and moist just thinking of her . TLC 9 Posted December 28, 2006 In preparation of the day we can mourn the Princess of Iron's sad demise, this chap Darren Hayman (formerly of Hefner, a favourite of mine) has produced a pretty good song 'The Day That Thatcher Dies' which at time of writing is streamable on the above page. I presume if it's taken off in the meantime it'll be back pretty sharpish once she pegs it. Even for those who don't like the music, the lyrics are worth listening to. It warms my heart knowing the words 'ding dong, the witch is dead, which old witch, the wicked witch' are on this occasion dedicated to Lady T.

I agree!!!! What a bloody hero Thatcher is/was!!!! Under her the rich got richer, the poor got poorer, and individuals were valued for their sum worth, not as human beings. What a wonderful woman. The sooner she dies the better, preferably of something nasty. Jack

Let's say for the sake of argument Gandhi and Thatcher (mainly good), Hitler and Stalin (bad). Whether smashing the unions was good or bad can be argued, but the fact that it was her force of personality that did it is not a particularly controversial point of view.

Let's say for the sake of argument Gandhi and Thatcher (mainly good), Hitler and Stalin (bad). I won't dispute that, but without the cooperation of many it won't happen. Apart from that: it's much easier to lead a nation to ruin than to success. Now that I think of it: it's also not quite clear what exactly constitutes failure or success in this respect. The utter ruin of Germany in 1945 proved to be the start of a magnificent recovery. From a 2007 perspective there are arguments for the statement that WWII was actually won by Germany and Japan. Whether smashing the unions was good or bad can be argued, but the fact that it was her force of personality that did it is not a particularly controversial point of view. I hold no particular view on the union issue, although at the time I did. The outcome did, however, depend highly on bad strategy from the union leaders. If they had paid attention to history they would have known that a general strike is not the way to fight such a struggle. regards, Hein
Banshees Scream 110 Posted February 3, 2007 Now that I think of it: it's also not quite clear what exactly constitutes failure or success in this respect. The utter ruin of Germany in 1945 proved to be the start of a magnificent recovery. From a 2007 perspective there are arguments for the statement that WWII was actually won by Germany and Japan. In life you can look at the angles of all things, your perception down to the base is an opinion. But when you take it into a realistic perspective besides the rebuilding of a nation from complete ruin, Adolf Hitler killed himself, two thirds of the main Nazi Party were executed or imprisoned, countless Japenese took their own lives with the fright of becoming prisoners, We dropped an atomic bomb, and the nazi dream was shattered. All things pass and all things heal, but if that is the 2007 outlook on WW2 let's not forget one of the latest styles for men in this modern year is wearing tights.
