I think in all honesty its because its human nature not to react until its too late, particularly if you're a celebrity with x many followers on social media. What I do find very amusing is that these celebrities seem to think removing their tweets is going to have any impact in the slightest. I agree with this, but right after the Superbowl, Usher went to Bali to visit Russell Simmons (who fled there to escape a dozen rape charges; they don't extradite to the US) and he actually posted photos from it.
