Can anyone explain this video for me. It's a fine piece of animation but I don't understand the significance of the tree. Why does the Kiwi nail it to the cliff? Am I to assume the Kiwi is knowingly plunging to its death like some kamikaze enjoying a brief moment of joy in flight? Is that it? But what about that tree?

The trees make it look like he's flying above the treetops. That's what makes the (visual) difference between plunging and flying (at least for him I suppose).

Plus, you know, emphasizing hard work for your goals and all that I guess.

Either that, or it's the excuse an average New Zealander gives when caught in a compromising situation with native wildlife; "What? They love getting nailed."

Boom, Tsch.

I thank you.

I get it now. Thanks for the explanation CP. That kid is going to go far. The splat at the end could have done to be just that little bit louder but that's a minor quibble.

How do you measure up?*

This came up in the chat tonight, much thanks to CarolAnn for giving the ladies a giggle, noticeably the male DL'ers left the chat very quickly after seeing this link. Hmm, measuring tape anyone..........?

I'm afraid this link is somewhat flawed - Mr Lard has size 11 shoes, giving him a supposed ten inch willy - if he had a ten inch willy d'you think I'd be sat here reading this damn forum every night? :)

And wait for this film:-

Warner Bros. has committed to finance and distribute "The Bucket List," closing deals with Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman and director Rob Reiner for a late October production start. Nicholson and Freeman will play two men who break out of a ward for terminal cancer patients and embark on a road trip, knocking items off a list of things they want to do before kicking the bucket. Justin Zackham penned the script.

Sounds like our sort of film!

Lame.

Accept the fact that Lady Clarissa is a lively and original poster

and that you are a boring and sanctimonious old windbag.

Time to move on.

Pleasant a person, that I am sure Lady Clarrissa is, I don't think even she would claim to be an original poster. No more than Christopher Biggins would claim his portrayal of Widow Twankey were original.

Before we move on, can I just say that I enjoy CarolAnn's contributions to this forum. We obviously have a different definition of what is boring, and there is nothing wrong with that.
