This message from his facebook page Had to cancel my upcoming Australia tour due to some health issues. Can't leave the country until I have a major surgery. He made the master list of Ronnies but was not thought a viable candidate. Although Ronnie Montrose was suffering from cancer at the time of his death, it has now been revealed that he actually died due to a self inflicted gunshot wound. Phantom 2,533 Posted April 25, 2012 Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap suffered a major stroke back in February. He's still on the mend, but.. He then fell and hit his head, resulting in a left vertebral artery dissection and a right subarachnoid hemorrhage latest news is ..he is sharp and aware, his speech is fine, and all of the nurses and doctors have commented on his unique sense of humor, The bad news is that he cannot move the right side of his body and will be in for some serious rehab. This past year has been truly life taking it's own course without words that can describe the mystery and conflict that none of us can know .
