Rocker Ronnie Montrose, dies from prostate cancer age 64.

 

Edit to add- He goes on my personal DDP List of the Missed. He made the master list of Ronnies but was not thought a viable candidate.

 

Although Ronnie Montrose was suffering from cancer at the time of his death, it has now been revealed that he actually died due to a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap suffered a major stroke back in February.

He's still on the mend, but..

 

He then fell and hit his head, resulting in a left vertebral artery dissection and a right subarachnoid hemorrhage

 

latest news is

..he is sharp and aware, his speech is fine, and all of the nurses and doctors have commented on his unique sense of humor, The bad news is that he cannot move the right side of his body and will be in for some serious rehab. They will be giving him more tests tomorrow to determine the extent of the damage.

Singer Bobby Vee's website has been updated - in almost Banshee-esque prose - to announce that he is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

 

This past year has been truly life taking it's own course without words that can describe the mystery and conflict that none of us can know . So without a song or a script I am stepping on to a stage that we will all share: The mystery of life.
