Wtf why are the focusing on the fact that he was the EastEnders rather than his more iconic rule of bump head trooper. That's like the news reporters saying " R.I.P president Clinton who helped lower taxes oh by the way she also solved world hunger"

I did contemplate posting the news in the Star Wars deaths thread but decided that the Eastenders milkman was more iconic.

Feel free to disagree.

I used to watch East Enders in the 80s and 90s, and I don't remember a milkman at all.

To be fair he's about as notable a character as the policeman Bill Croasdale played in Coronation Street. Differing is Crossdale had a few brain cells about him so made a name in another soap rather than playing the same unnoticeable dope.

For our American readers, Larkin Malloy who played Travis Montgomery in All My Children, has died aged 62 from complications from a heart attack. http://soapcentral.com/amc/news/2016/0929-malloy_obit.php

Looks like a near birthday death, if not on the day itself.

Saw something hours ago on Twitter, but couldn't find any corroboration.

When acting was a profession, back in't day. Probably my favourite soap character ever.

Gawd rest her soul, and like them ducks on't Muriel, fly high Jean.

Sad, she was by all accounts a nice lady.

Yet another personage of popular culture exits stage left, and I'm left feeling that bit older and closer to the void of oblivion.
