Sloan has been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia, which seems to burn faster than the garden variety Alzheimers dementia. Diagnosed in 2016, so it could be getting close based on statistics. Diagnosed in 2016, so it could be getting close based on statistics. Yeah, I believe the usual life expectancy with Lewy body is 5-7 years, but he also has Parkinson's. And when you look at those July 2019 reports that he was "dying", and when you combine that with Malone's public pleas yesterday, it paints a pretty grim picture. He might see 2022, but will obviously be a good pick next year. Chris Doleman made it 2 years with glioblastoma, so it's certainly possible to last 17 months, which Westphal would have to do.
