maryportfuncity 10,645 Posted June 17, 2007 Millwall isn't exactly a hotbed of open mindedness but this is out of order IMHO.
Monoclinic 39 Posted June 17, 2007 (edited) Okay; show and tell time. Our forthcoming, all conquering championship season looks like this: August Sat 11 15:00 A Walsall FL1 Sat 18 15:00 H Oldham FL1 Sat 25 15:00 A Huddersfield FL1 [snip] Edited for brevity - H May Sat 3 15:00 H Bournemouth FL1 Surely a CHAMPIONSHIP season would involve playing teams from the championship? Such as, for instance say, the mighty Saints? Though I am already fairly depressed at the thought of another season in the doldrums facing the likes of Blackpool (!) and Scunthorpe (!!), to add Carlisle to that list would indeed be adding insult to injury. maryportfuncity 10,645 Posted June 17, 2007 Right enough, I meant 'championship winning' season. Cos - obviously - we'll walk it to the League One title this year.

maryportfuncity 10,645 Posted June 18, 2007 Nowt logical in those two sentences Welshman. Loads of people hate Manchester United, hasn't brought about their relegation. What - exactly - did Carlisle United do to you to warrant the hatred?
maryportfuncity 10,645 Posted June 20, 2007 Scarborough FC are history, or at least in limbo until something approaching a new club is established. Already referenced on the Dead thread. But seven hours after I posted the above there is hope, of a sort.
harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,688 Posted June 23, 2007 Even though he's caused more than enough grief for the Reds I'm sad to see Thierry Henry, for me the best Premiership player of the last decade, leaving the league. Though I doubt that Jamie feels the same way.

Octopus of Odstock 2,187 Posted July 5, 2007 Just been doing a little research re. footy deaths. If you're thinking of a footballer to put down for an early death, think of maybe one of Colchester's FA Cup giantkillers instead of perhaps Ray Kennedy.... Well, judging by my DDP performances, my predictions can be hit & miss, but this one was eeringly, but sadly, bang on. Dave Simmons, scorer of one of those two goals vs Leeds in the FA Cup shock, has died of cancer. Simmons passes away. Simmons also got a BBC obit, so if this had been January, not July, it might've just be points all round....

Footballers will get obits, like those obscure Baseball players in the New York Times or something. Noted...

Paul Bearer 6,101 Posted July 19, 2007 has it ever been known that a team that has won the Title, been relegated the following season, (not including point deductions etc) ???over to you... I think both Stirling Albion and Partick Thistle ( otherwise known as Partick Thistle nil ) both got promoted to the Scottish Premier league and were relegated the following 3 seasons. Could be wrong, but I'm sure I'm right. They never won the Premier league though.

Banshees Scream 110 Posted July 19, 2007 Impressive. I enjoyed Adolf Hitlers reaction and I watched your video twice. DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted July 30, 2007 A very well done to Iraq for winning the Asian Cup. The whole nation has put the war on hold to celebrate their 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia. It does look as if the good citizens of Baghdad have got a little carried away with their celebrations this evening "Police in Baghdad...reported at least seven deaths and more than 50 people wounded by stray bullets as revellers took to the streets in a wave of euphoria..." Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted August 4, 2007 Maryport - don't you think Rowan Alexander, supposed "ex" Gretna boss, should go on the DL after his antics today Turning up and claiming to be boss. Genius.
Twelvetrees 10 Posted August 5, 2007 15 points deducted. 15 BLOODY POINTS DEDUCTED!!! Isn't it about time someone put a bounty on Ken Bates' head? As an AFC Bournemouth fan, it could mean that we won't be bottom of the table until at least November 6, when you come to destroy the town centre again. Brinsworth House Baiter 12 Posted August 5, 2007 Well, after yesterday's thrashing of the mighty Inter Milan, I'm pretty happy with Villa's chances of qualifying for Europe this coming season. Despite 9 bodies leaving and only bringing 2 in so far, Messiah O' Neil seems to have got the boys firing and playing some lovely attacking stuff. Barry was a God yesterday, Young looks as though he's a prospect and Moore and Agbonlahor have the pace to turn a few defences ragged. Yep, the sleeping giant is awakening. Having said that, a couple of injuries would completely bollocks our season, so let's hope the Messiah starts splashing old Randy's billions soon and brings in a few to bolster the squad. Come on Villa! The future's claret and blue. Cheers, BHB
