charon 4,943 Posted January 26, 2016 Further to Tennant's Super being classy... http://www.thefreelibrary.com/TRENDIEST+TIPPLE+FOR+ITALIANS%3B+Scots+super-beer's+a+fashion+favourite.-a0108259375 CHIC Italians have made a Scottish superlager a fashionable favourite. Tennent's Super has become one of Italy's most popular beers, particularly with younger drinkers. And its biggest success has been in the fashion capital of Milan. Super, mainly served in cans in Scotland, is known as Vitamin T to heavy drinkers and under-age kids looking for a cheap buzz from their carry-out. But in Italy, it is served on draught and in bottles to people whose other favourite labels are Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton. Tennent's bosses are delighted with the lager's new trendy status in Italy, which has boosted their sales. A spokesman said: ``Our biggest export of lager goes to Italy and we sell the equivalent of 75,000 pints a day. ``Tennent's Super is not well-renowned here in Scotland, but in Italy it has a great reputation. ``Italy is very family oriented and the tradition over there is to spend a short time in the pub before heading off home for a family dinner. It suits Italians to drink a strong lager if they are spending less time in the pub than we would. ``They can enjoy a couple of Tennent's Supers then head home.'' The spokesman added: ``It is served on tap in most bars in Milan, Florence and Rome. ``Tennent's Super is very rarely served on draught in Scotland. ``There is not demand for it in bars, although it is generally a good seller for us.'' Scots drink 620,000 pints of Tennent's lager a day and a further 750,000 pints are exported throughout the world. Milan architect Luca Cattaneo, 31, said: ``Everybody drinks Tennent's Super here. ``Super is served everywhere and is a pretty popular drink with people my age. ``At first when I tried it, I thought that it tasted a bit strange but you get an acquired taste for it. ``It is a really strong beer which is probably why Italians like it.'' Pretty sad reflection on you're life that's considered an achievement. Also Stuart Pearce moves to Lonford AFC (surely Fort Williams main rivals now) on a free transfer and Shola Ameobi offers to play for Bolton,

Deathray 2,940 Posted January 31, 2016 Never trust the yanks with the beautiful game: Wassup? They got the most important half spot on! Was amazed at how poor some of carlisle's play was though. Also, rejoicing in the fact that MK Dons got beaten by Chelsea 5-1. The chelsea fans chanting "Wimbledon, Wimbledon, Wimbledon" and "You're only here for the Chelsea" was hilarious. maryportfuncity 10,630 Posted February 1, 2016 Never trust the yanks with the beautiful game: Wassup? They got the most important half spot on! Harsh IMHO. Remember that we beat QPR and tool Liverpool to penalties earlier in the season so our best options in springing a tactical surprise on higher rated opposition are already well known, along with our weaknesses. The same basic idea - soak up the pressure and let little Derek Asamoah scurry around in search of scraps - did for QPR and would have got Brendan Rogers sacked had we cleaned up on the shootout Roberto Martinez was preparing lower league teams for cup ties against top opposition a few years back, so doubtless he knew word for word what Keith Curle's team talk would be.
