The Dead - 2007

Recommended Posts

Carl-Henning Pedersen, a Danish artist who specialised in spontaneous expressionism, has died rather unspontaneously after a long illness at the age of 93

I bet his last expression was pretty damn spontaneous though!

:dead:

According to the update on wikipedia it just says "died"

Carl-Henning Pedersen, 93, Danish painter known for his membership of CoBrA, died .

A real bright spark placed that entry :D

Hope he managed to spend the royalty cheque, as the DVD came out less than a month ago.

The fact that he got one at all was probably enough to kill him!

Welcome back Lawro!

What does that mean!

It conjures up an image of the child's head being attached to the body in some out of control experiment.

Did anyone hear the recording of the Judge crying as he gave his decision? Now what was all that about?

One of the world's finest mandolin and guitar players, the misleadingly named Al Viola, has died at the age of 87.

He recorded with over 500 artists and had a 25 year musical association with Frank Sinatra. He also played on the theme tunes for The Godfather, Blazing Saddles and West Side Story.

Found the following online; John Whernam, 99 year oesteopath, still practicing until very recently:

Décès de John Whernam

It is with great sadness that the Trustees and Management of the ESO inform you of the death of Mr John Wernham, DO, who died on Friday, 9 February 2007, aged 99 years.

John Wernham, a pupil of John Martin Littlejohn, was a greatly revered figure within the osteopathic community. He provided a direct link with Andrew Taylor Still.

Early on in its existence, our School, under a different guise, shared premises with those of John Wernham at 28-30 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone.

The teachings of John Martin Littlejohn, as relayed through John Wernham, have had a profound influence on ESO philosophy.

There will be a memorial service (date to be announced) at Rochester Cathedral in Kent to commemorate Mr Wernham’s passing.

Ephraim 'Jock' Dodds, the oldest surviving FA cup finalist, who played in the 1936 final for Sheffield United, has died at the age of 91.

For many years he held the football league record for the fastest hat-trick in football (2mins 30 secs), he also scord a hat-trick for Scotland against England in a wartime international.

Every match between Scotland and England was a wartime international!

winemaker Joseph Gallo has died

Already mentioned

Not only that, Phantom, Joseph Gallo was not a winemaker. His fortune was in cheese, his brothers were the winemakers.

Not to mention Iain was two days late with this post.

If this is the kind of "research" Iain puts into his posts, we're really better off without it. ;)
