Captain Oates 21 Posted March 4, 2007 An aged actor. It could be this year he kicks the bucket. Wasn't he in Birds of a Feather? I know she is a bit of a munter, but she is a woman! Who are you calling a munter? Is there a DL web-cam facility that they're not telling us about? Is she your wife/sister etc? Better keep smiling when you say that! .....back off slowly .....then run like the blazes.
Octopus of Odstock 2,218 Posted March 13, 2007 Leslie Phillips wins "trouper of the year". Both he, and Peter O'Toole, may I add, look in good fettle.
VSBfromH 74 Posted April 12, 2011 Angela Scoular Leslie Phillips' actress wife, 21 years younger than him, has died aged 65. "She appeared in two Bond films - as Buttercup in Casino Royale in 1966 and as Ruby Bartlett in On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969". A hit for 5 teams on the DDP. EDIT: Now I'm waiting for an update to say Leslie pushed her down the stairs to get unique points

VSBfromH 74 Posted April 13, 2011 Ah, The Sun! Dontcha just love 'em?! "Phillips, 86 - whose catchphrases include Ding Dong" (just in case you don't know who he is). Maybe Leslie deserves his own thread, or should these posts be moved to the "Carry On" thread (although he only appeared in 4 films and Angela Scoular in none)? Toast 16,248 Posted April 13, 2011 Bugger! She was on my subs bench. Didn't put her in the team in the end because I couldn't find any recent mention of the cancer.

Toast 16,248 Posted July 20, 2011 Well, it's unnatural, but I can't see how it's not suicide. No mention of accident, unless I've missed it. Coroner Dr Fiona Wilcox recorded a verdict of "killing herself while the balance of her mind was disturbed". Ms Scoular's death was not suicide, the coroner ruled. Whatever, a horrible way to go.
