He was the last surviving Icelandic Olympian from the 1948 and 1952 Games (Summer and Winter).

Now the earliest surviving Icelandic Olympians are : Valdimar Ornolfsson (flagbearer) and Jakobina Jakobsdottir (1956 Winter), and Svavar Markusson and Gudmundur Gislason (1960 Summer).

Last male survivor of the 1948 Dutch squad, who now has 2 survivors Lenie Gerietsen and Klara Post

Dutch football icon Kees Rijvers is definitely still alive and Cees Gravesteijn was still alive in 2019. And I personally doubt that unsourced edit on Klara Post's wiki page from January 2022 wasn't legit, too.

Henry Rono, distance runner and multiple Gold winner and world record holder from Kenya, reportedly dead: https://www.citizen.digital/sports/former-multiple-world-record-holder-henry-rono-dies-n336765

Never competed at the Olympics as Kenya boycotted the Games in 1976 and 1980, but he falls into the dead medallists category with Golds at the 1978 Commonwealth Games. A well-known name from that era.

One if the best track and field athletes never to compete in an Olympic Games. RIP.

Greatest philosopher for the elites... His social contract theory is simply wrong but you can easily understand it if you view it as a conspiracy against the people.

He was the oldest living Australian Olympic medalist. That distinction now goes to his eights teammate Neville Howell, who was born a day later on December 17, 1929.

Remember him very well. I must have watched the 78 commonwealth games as a child.

Zdeněk Košta died on 11/Oct/2020 according to the Czech Olympic website, and some sites like Wikipedia and Olympedia inform that he died in 2022, so I don't know which information is correct, he died under the radar, and he was the oldest living Olympic cyclist old man, who is now Frenchman Charles Coste, born February 8, 1924, living Olympic medalist in cycling. The oldest living Olympian to represent Czechoslovakia was him too and now we're in a dilemma and it's complicated. Růžena Košťálová, born February 21, 1924, is still alive according to this 2020 document from the Czech Olympic Committee. A 2021 comprehensive work by František Kolář, however, Encyklopedie olympioniků. Čeští a českoslovenští sportovci na olympijských hrác, lists her, on page 178, as having died in January 2013. Both sources seem very reliable, and so it is plausible that both are mistaken; therefore, we continue to list it as alive, although we cannot be absolutely sure. If Košťálová had died, however, 1952 gymnast Jindřich Mikulec, born May 11, 1928, would be the oldest living Olympian to represent Czechoslovakia.

Růžena Košťálová is still alive and turned 100 today. Confirmation here. For years her Wiki profile had a source that maintained she died in Switzerland in 2013.
