Boudicca 702 Posted December 17, 2005 ...what I really want forr Christmas this year you can't find in a box. A new bike? A puppy? Both are tricky to wrap, I will admit.
Harvester Of Souls 40 Posted December 17, 2005 Nah, the losers are better company. You sold yourself cheap. The "Man" has bought and paid for you. The man has bought and paid for me many times over. And you. And everyone here. We're all corporate whores! While you all tuck into your Christmas fowl[sic] I'll be celebrating in my own special way... putting laxatives in the Mince Pies and spiking the office punch with Ecstacy. I hope you all enjoy yourselves and don't develop bullimia in the New Year when the bingeing has to stop. Hope the two days are worth the overdraft... especially when Sony release a new games console in time for the next day of indugence! Merry Commercialmas Everyone! No, Dear Sure I want a couple things because I enjoy opening gifts but you know I want everything to work out for myself and everyone for that matter. In my life i'm easily misunderstood and right now i'm going through some very hard times so I just want everything to work out right so fine.

Banshees Scream 110 Posted December 17, 2005 In my life i'm easily misunderstood. Indeed. In this very forum you are often misunderstood. I don't think so - I suppose everyone is misunderstood everywhere at some point but I like the way things roll here. In real life i'm badly misunderstood and in my life I get punished for being wounded in pain. Here atleast things are a little bit different.

in eternum+ 22 Posted December 18, 2005 Dearest lovely Admins and/or Moderators - Is it possible to add Mr Clapping Guy to the 'clickable smilies' menu? I like him almost as much as I like Mr Referee Guy , who is my favourite. Please? I think he would add depth of meaning to many a post.

Entropy 5 Posted December 18, 2005 What's the story over there? I mean why aren't they allowed to call Christmas, Christmas? They are, of course. This is an excuse for the Religious Right to make a fuss about how the Bad Guys are destroying the country. Some shops have been instructing their employees to say "happy holidays" rather than "merry Christmas" and have been playing secular songs rather than Christian carols in the stores, and some schools have tried to be inclusive and refer to the holidays rather than Christmas - recognising the fact that there are people other than Christians who visit shops and attend schools - and the Religious Right has its knickers in a twists about it again. Happens every year, but this year they're being particularly loud about it.
Harvester Of Souls 40 Posted December 18, 2005 Happens every year, but this year they're being particularly loud about it. With ya. If you're not with us you're with the terrorists and all that bollocks... Boy the Christian Right are really on one now aren't they... are they preparing for a 2nd coming? Banshees Scream 110 Posted December 18, 2005 (edited) That's about it everybody. I did leave out a couple though. I want grammar. And plenty of it. How could I forget honez? Wait! There is a perfect explanation: This year, I thought honez might prefer to give gifts out rather than receive them. So, honez, if you want your wish to come true, perhaps you should give everyone a spell check. "I know it would help me enormously." Done. Happy Christmas. H. Entropy 5 Posted December 18, 2005 Some of them are, yes. There was an article in Time a couple of years ago about the Left Behind book series and all the people in the Bible Belt who were sitting waiting for the Rapture. Unfortunately some of them are trying to hurry it along in various ways. I just hope that none of them are sitting in or near the White House, but I think there may be some religious extremists there. At least Ashcroft is no longer among them.
