He also made-up Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone in The Godfather.

Surely Johnson & Johnson should have got the credit for that?

Or Goodyear?

Videos of the accaptence speeches of this years honorary oscar winners

Maureen O'Hara in wheelchair:

Harry Belafonte (with Sidney Poitier later joining him on stage):

Hayao Miyazaki:

and Jean-Claude Carrière:

It's kind of disrespectfull that they interrupt mrs. O'Hara's speech and guide mr. Miyazaki of the stage in the middle of his speech (he looks completely confused by that)...

According to the Daily Mail, his assistant has confirmed Horner's death:

"Horner's assistant, Sylvia Patrycja, later confirmed that it was the beloved composer who died in the crash.

'We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart, and unbelievable talent,' Patrycja wrote on Facebook.

'He died doing what he loved. Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road.'"

Other news sites are still holding off on confirming it at this stage though.

From sinking ships to crashing planes....

And is indeed dead. What is it about small planes - lethal. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jun/23/pilot-killed-as-plane-registered-to-titanic-composer-james-horner-crashes

Very sad. Stellar body of work, including the soundtrack of what I traditionally call my favorite movie - Aliens.

Agreed, only John Williams can boast a resume like Horner's.

Anyone else notice Horner did the music for A Terrible Mind? First Nash, now Horner. Who is next? Very coincidental deaths.

truly one of the greatest flim composers. My favorite work if his was his work on the TV tales form the crypt. Sometimes I watch the show with the only the background music on its that good r.I.p James horner.

Wow he did a lot of shit films. I'm not a big fan of Aliens but I love the tense opening theme from 48 Hrs, the 1982 cop/action-comedy film with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte (it was funny cos one of them was black and one wasn't - geddit?!)
