Is there a BAFTA thread? Anyway I see Ken Loach has won, wonder how much of his speech will make TV.

Well, then, I guess that Inquirer-esque story - I forget the site - about him being gravely ill with cancer last summer was true! Did any of us take notice of it for our deadpool teams?

Yes, I posted that rumour and it might have been in 2015 already because I think I checked if anybody picked him in the DDP and I seem to remember that someone did.

Its amusing in a way. Actual news story - however dubious - about Demme, ignored.

Val Kilmer looks rough, dozens of DDP teams waste a pick.

One of Hollywood greatest directors sad he never made something as good as Philadelphia or silence of the lambs since the 90s. Also on research Ted Demme was Jonathan's nephew.

He was an absolute genius director. Silence of the lamb's and Philadelphia are some of the best films of the 1990s.

Sad news.
