Algerian and former Tottenham player Nabil Bentaleb has been hospitalised, for either fainting or having a heart attack. The club just calls it an illness:

Bentaleb's heart even stopped for a while:

Jeff Whitefoot, ex Manchester United and Nottingham Forest player, has died. NOT by some way United's oldest living player despite some posts that he was.

Played in the 1959 Forest FA Cup Final win

His wiki page says "he has been called the last of the Busby Babes". Was he really ?

No, but he was the last surviving player from Forest's 1959 FA Cup victory.

The Busby Babes is a bit like those airmen. Are Stepney, Sadler, Law and Kidd 'Busby Babes'? If not, what is the definition of a Busby Babe?

Alfio Basile hospitalised with vascular dementia complications and according to some sources has suffered a stroke.

With Bilardo and Acosta, one of "How still alive?" football names.

EDIT: stable and not in danger.

Jeff Butler, former manager (four times) of Kazier Chiefs, has died. He would have been the first person to manage the South African national team in a full international following their readmission to Fifa in 1992, but he was fired shortly before the game after it was discovered he'd falsified his CV. Instead, the honour went to the enjoyably named Screamer Tshabalala.

Screamer Tshabalala dead at 75 from gunshot wound complications following a break-in at his house earlier this year.

Amarildo suffered three consecutive strokes when first hospitalised. A big lump was discovered in his throat, though they don't know if it's malignant (would be recurrent cancer). On top of that he has Alzheimer's.

Family insists he is not in any danger.

Seems like his condition worsened and he was hospitalized again in June, no clue if he is still there.

Minor trivia (which I only learned a month or so ago) - Macedo appeared on the cover of "Sit Down" by James. Why a Manchester band had a Fulham goalie on their single artwork isn't recorded to history.
