José Alberto Vasconcellos da Silva, better known as Dendê, was born in Alagoinhas (Bahia) and died in Salvador at the age of 71, played for Bahia, Flamengo, Vitória among other Brazilian teams

Diego Orejuela was born in La Luisiana, Spain and died in Barcelona aged 62, made his professional debuts with RCD Español, He scored three goals in the Pericos' 1987–88 runner-up campaign in the UEFA Cup, having also captained the team for a number of years.

Was apparently playing for a club in Nepal at the time of his death.

 

(As a side note, this thread is quite helpful for alerting my Football Manager colleagues to database changes they need to make due to players who have died, like in this case.)

Still no word on what happened. Stroke or heart attack is probably best bet? Perhaps stroke given the high level of privacy (not that he isn't entitled to that anyway, obviously).
