What a coincidence! Just 5 minutes ago I was idly perusing the DDP and looking at the teams who had scored 0 points (not that I fared much better!), and for some reason chose to look at Gobbling On Life's team in more detail. Well done indeed sir!

Gary Ablett. I remember him.

Edit: Bollocks just looked up at post before the one before this. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I'll just stick to observations.

Miljan Miljanić

The former coach of Yugoslavia (for the World Cup in both 1974 and 1982), Red Star Belgrade, Real Madrid (where he won 2 league titles and 1 Copa del Rey), and Valencia has died aged 81.

He turned to booze, often downing 10 to 15 pints of lager and lime.

How unfashionable. Didn't think anyone had lime in their lager these days.

Just saw this edit on the "deaths in 2012" page on wiki

Stefano Borgonovo, 44, Italian FootBaller, suicide

Not sure if there's any confirmation yet. Anyone have any news?

With the ability to look really callous in a few hours, its nowhere else, off Wiki already, and the person who edited it in also edited in the death of some American sportscaster who seems to be alive too - Bryant Gumble - so I'll assume its one of those Wiki-hoaxes.

Though Wiki is the 2nd last place you should take as an acknowledgement of death, behind notaguest when he posted.

I usually just glance at wiki from time to time.

Then again it was the first place I saw Bob Holness' death posted a few minutes before it came through as breaking news in my email.

Looks a load of rubbish to me. Borgonovo's 47, not 44...

Not really sure how someone in Borgonovo's condition could commit suicide, tbh.

I assume this will go in here

4 football teams seem to be on the brink

In England we have Kettering Town and Darlington and in Scotland we have Heart of Midlothian and Rangers. If I had to get rid of one of those 4 teams, I would not hesitate in sayin g Rangers. Once one half of the Old Firm dies the other will die as well, Good riddance to both of them !!!!!!!
