Goes to show that the DDP title is more often than not decided on who does not die, rather than who does...

maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted September 30, 2013 Update on Bruno Metsu for any Francophones. "cancer de l'estomac qui l'a obligé à s'éloigner des terrains" means that his stomach cancer has spread, right? Because Google translate seems to suggest that it means his cancer has gone to a new country. New update in which he says he "was" given three months to live, the cancer spread to his liver, colon and lungs, but is apparently now "on the road to recovery". Cancer of the liver, lungs and colon, but on the road to recovery? He's fucking hoping. S'funny I read this and - as if from nowhere - the image of Robin Gibb appeared in my mind. I really hope he's breathing on New Year's Day.

maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted October 6, 2013 Jimmy Hill update.... http://www.dailymail...pts-assets.html Now he can be his own rhyming slang in the same way as Jeremy Hunt. I read yesterday that one of his less inspired innovative ideas - vetoed before it got anywhere near being trialed - was to bury mortar shells in the ground at Coventry's Bloomfield Road ground and explode one every time the home team scored. He'll be closely followed by Carlisle legend Gary Madine the way he is going at the moment. Madine's tragedy is made worse for Carlisle by the fact that he was a few games short of enough appearances for Sheffield Wednesday for Carlisle to cash in on an appearance-related bonus in his contract. Looks like he's no longer wanted at Hillsboro and he'll be in jail long enough for his contract to be voided. He's actually been training at Brunton Park, promoting the obvious we'll have him back/ our Lee Hughes posts online.
