Sir Creep 7,070 Posted August 14, 2015 ) C. Gerald Forsberg died in 2000. Abilio Couto died in 1998. Paul Herron died in 2005. A quick Google search would help. Quick Google search provides no such information on Forsberg. Couto did die in 1998, as per a Wikipedia article in SPANISH (Portuguese?) -- no other source was found confirming. Herron appears to have died in 2005 based solely on this obscure source (http://www.usms.org/people/000FW) and nowhere else on the Web. Maybe Google.com.uk provides other links. Yeah, I doubt that. so much for your 'quick google search' smug BS. SC

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted September 25, 2015 A 10-METRE mistake by organisers nearly killed French free diving champion Guillaume Néry as he dived much deeper than expected. His guide line on the dive off Cyprus had been set to 139metres rather than the 129m world record depth he was aiming for and he blacked out and nearly drowned as he came to the surface. SC Here's a pretty bad-ass video of one of his more successful dives. Enjoy!
DevonDeathTrip 2,360 Posted October 1, 2015 Johnny Strange; lived fast and died young, killed in a wing-suit accident at the age of 23. PerezHilton boldly speculates about what might have happened: [...] he died after something went wrong during one of his jumps. Strange could have gone on the mountaineers thread as well, as he managed to ascend the Seven Summits by the time he was 17.
