Does anyone know it falling faster than the speed of sound may actually be fatal. I can emagine a situation where the greater part of your body is creating more drag than the roundness of your head and the shock wave breaks your neck!

I suggested him for DL back in 2007. May even have had him on DDP or HDP. Can't actually remember.

But according to this BBC report it's incredibly dangerous to try that sort of thing and people who do tend to die.

Well, it all seems to have happened relatively splatless, so that question is academic. The answer, btw, is no, because his terminal velocity would be something like 200-300 km/h, which would of course kill him on impact, but certainly not scatter him over any appreciable area.
