Before she was married to a president, she was married to a vice president.

So, does her death rid the world of people who would claim her former husband as "a true African hero" and "a wonderful father"

Jeanette Cathy, widow of Chick-Fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, is dead at 92:

http://www.wtvm.com/story/29613285/widow-of-chick-fil-a-founder-passes-away

Edit: I now see that WIkipedia has also listed her as a philantropist, as founder of the WinShape foundation, so she has a bit of fame on her own.

Bury her Danno.

Melody Patterson at 66. Was the widow of James McArthur of Hawaii Five 0, and had a few appearances on that, although maybe better known for her role in F Troop .

Doreen Blythe - aka Mrs Ernie Wise - is still going, not sure about Eric's other half. Doreen was a performer, though I don't think her dancing career would get her national obits. DDP fodder at best the Morcambe and Wise spouses, IMHO.

But another one springs to mind. Joy Beverley of The Beverley Sisters was - sort of - the Posh Spice of the mid fifties. 79 and still breathing! Mentioned elsewhere on the DL, but worth reviving here.

According to the Editor of the Express & Star, Billy Wright's widow, Joy Beverley has died at 91. https://twitter.com/kharrison_star/status/638419457895964672

(Note: I've only put it here because of the previous mention).

She took long walks with Georgia O’Keefe at the famous Ghost Ranch. She visited Man Ray at his home in France. She received pieces from Pablo Picasso signed, “Love, your friend, Pablo.”

Naples resident Olga Hirshhorn, widow of renowned art collector Joseph Hirshhorn (of Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden fame), was as in touch with the art world as just about anyone. She died Oct. 3 in Naples at age 95.
