Sir Creep 7,070 Posted July 22, 2016 Hastings Entertainment has set the closure all of its stores in a liquidation, according to court documents filed this week. The retail chain — which sells everything from DVDs and Blu-rays, books, CDs, toys, T-shirts and other collectibles — is planning a series of clearance sales at all of its locations. That sale is set to end Oct. 31 at the latest. In June, the Amarillo-based Hastings Entertainment filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced it was seeking a buyer. The company found that buyer Wednesday in Hilco Merchant Resources and Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, however the joint venture looks to liquidate the stores. In other news, KMart is closing 10 stores including the original one in Garden City, MI, and the Plymouth, MI location where Sir Creep worked for about four months when he was 20 or so. Furthermore, it is part of a 150-store closing that Sears/KMart are doing early 2017! So much for retail in Murica. I'll have to buy everything at the dollar store.
